I parked my car in my driveway and opened the door. I quietly shut it behind me. I had asked the guys to stay in the car in case something happens. I glanced behind me back at Alex and Jonathan, they both looked shaken up from earlier l, couldn't blame them to be honest. I felt sorry for Jonathan the most, he witnessed his teacher rip a chunk out of his friend... That shit is messed up. What is wrong with this generation?
I slid my key into the lock and opened the white door. Stepping inside, I wiped my boots on the rugged doormat.
"Mum?" I called out. No reply. "Matt?" I called for my step dad. No reply. Putting my keys back in my pocket, I ventured up the stairs, running my hand along the wooden banister. I stopped on the 11th stair. "Mum? Is that you?" I said, my hands were shaking as I continued up the stairs. As I got to the top step, I sheepishly opened the door to my mums bedroom. What I saw made me sick.
Matt was hunched over mom, biting into her forearm, she was squirming underneath the pressure he was putting on her stomach. Tears were dripping down her flushed cheeks, she looked too weak to push him off. "Oh my god" I said under my breath. I shouldn't have.
Matt's neck snapped in my direction, his eyes were burning into mine, before I could blink, he was on his feet.
