Weeks had now gone by.
Joanna had held a proper funeral for her son Benedict.
She said goodbye to her children who were off to the wall and after that, she stayed confined to her bed chambers with Greywind.
Everyone tried to get her to come out but she wouldn't budge.
She just laid in her bed day and night, eating very little before giving the rest to her Direwolf.
Jamie took this the worst out of everyone around her. That was his daughter. His little girl and she was hurting and he couldn't do anything.
But, he was the only one besides Tywin who'd she'd allow into the room for longer periods. Currently, that is where Jamie was.
In Joannas room sitting by her bed as she lay on her back looking up at the red and gold ceiling. "I was hoping you'd join me..." Jamie softly spoke causing her to look over at him "In helping your uncle escape. I thought you'd like to join." He continued
"No... I said those horrible things to him. He doesn't want to see me." Joanna softly replied
"Oh, so you can speak. Glad to hear it." Jamie sarcastically said as he grabbed her hand in his. "I will be back later. I promise." He said allowing her to nod her head before getting up and leaving.
Once he was gone, Joanna jumped out of her bed and walked to a secret door that led to the tunnels inside the walls of the red keep.
Carefully, she made her way down to the dungeons where she knew Jamie would take Tyrion.
After a while, she reached the spot and waited until she saw the two men. They quickly said their goodbyes and once Jamie was gone, she walked out the door and up to Tyrion who looked at her in shock.
"You let me be mad at you. Hate you. So I wouldn't be mad at him." She softly spoke
"Believe it or not, but I do love and care about you. I was devastated when I heard about your son." He replied in a soft tone
"I love you too, and I hope our paths cross again." She told him and he smiled at her and grabbed her hands.
"They will my sweet lioness. I swear it." He replied in a soft caring tone. "Now go before anyone notices that you are missing." He instructed and she did as told, going back into the walls and heading back to her room.
Once there she walked in to see Jamie sitting there waiting for her. "I knew you couldn't stay away." He said with a smile. "But it is nice to see you up and moving around." He continued
"He's my uncle. No matter what." She told her father as she moved to a table, picked up a wooden box, and took it to her bed, sitting down and opening it. "80 necklaces and bracelets." She whispered taking out a necklace and a bracelet and handing it to him.
"These have all of your house symbols. The Direwolf and Lion touching foreheads. A sun behind them. A dragon lining the outer side around them." Jamie explained.
"Grandfather gave them to me. For my children. For theirs." She whispered softly
"He loves you and your children," Jamie replied placing the necklace and bracelet back into the box. "I suggest not letting your mother find them. Gods knows what she'd do." He added on
"I'm tired... I find myself so tired lately." She spoke changing the subject
"I felt that way when Daemon and Joffrey died. No matter what, they were both my children and I loved them. Despite the horrid things Joffrey did, I loved even him. Seeing them dead. It killed a part of me." Jamie softly spoke
"I suppose you had it worse. You knew them. You grew with them as they grew with you." She told the man who sighed
"No, your mother had it worse than me. They were her children. She carried them for so long only to watch them die. You, however, had it worse, because, despite your mother and I knowing them, we still had each other. Both of the parents alive and breathing. Oberyn was gone." He replied and she sighed but nodded her head. "Lie down. Get some rest. It will all be okay."
Joanna did as told laying down and immediately falling asleep due to her being exhausted.
....
Hours had passed and Joanna was shaken out of her deep sleep. When she opened her eyes, she was face to face with Cersei. "I know you hate me, but right now you have to put that aside and come with me!" She quickly spoke as Joanna wasted no time in following her mother due to the urgency in her voice.
They ran to where Joanna could only assume was the throne room and as they rushed inside, Joanna was brought to a halt at the sight in front of her.
"No... Tell me that's not..." she struggled to say as the bells began to ring loudly around her.
"Joanna. Sweetheart." Jamie's voice spoke out and immediately Joanna fell to her knees with Jamie following her down to hold her tightly. "I'm here. I'm here by sweet girl." He told her as she cried out
"Shh, my love." Cerseis voice spoke as she joined the two and hugged her daughter who shockingly hugged her back tightly as she sobbed into her shoulder.
The two parents looking at each other in horror at the realization. Joanna had lost so much in such a short period. Eddard, her cousins Willem and Martyn, her close friend Talisa, Lucion, Robb, Catelyn, Joffrey, Oberyn, Benedict, and now Tywin.
She hated Joffrey, but he was still her brother and she still loved him.
They knew their daughter would never be the same. They knew it and it hurt them that their little girl had gone through so much horror at a young age.
Joanna didn't think she'd ever be okay.
