"When will you be coming back to the states?" Alec's mother asked me over the phone. Its been 3 days since i've been here and if i'm being honest i've been miserable. For more reasons than one.
"I'm not sure maybe sometime next week, i'm still spending time with my family." I tell her. She sighs,
"I figured, its sad Alec never got to travel with you. He wouldve wanted to." When she said that I rolled my eyes.
She a gwaan like har son neva did a cheat pon mi wid not only woman, but man to. Cause mi sure by now she know bout all a the tings dem him used to do. As a matter a fact mi a be polite, thats why mi nuh hang up the phone inna har ears.
"Yea." I said nonchalantly.
"I know it must've been hard for you too when you heard the news." As she spoke she started to sob in my ears.

"It really was." I sniffed and pretended to sob too. Mi affi mek she think mi a grieve,
"I really did love him." I lied, I began looking at my nails that I needed to get re done.
Might do dat today wid Chinny. Going out with my bestie will definately cheer me up.
"He loved you too. I never even got any grand children, he really wanted kids."

After that she continued talking to me, and I just left the phone on speaker, while I sent my dance intructers their pay. She did eventually done talk after about an hour and mi hang up.
Since Alec died the detectives have been doing everything they can to find the killer, but dem nuh have nuh luck because even though they found his body on the crime scene. It was burned like a day after.
They have it that his body and the two that died with him got mixed up with other bodies that was supposed to be cremated, but of course dat was deliberate.
