oh my god Buggs, where tf have you been? calm down guys, I'm sorry. i started a different book on docs and am 3 chapters away from finishing it, started high school, joined a group of dumbasses on twitter, and slowly am dealing with myself. I apologise for the break, and apologise for the fact that i might disapear again. I'm trying my best, I'm just not very good at it :( Let's start the chapter now tho before you lose interest. Also sorry for short chapter, im getting back into the hang of it
As I bumped around in the back of the truck, my fox plush held between my knees and my hands tightly gripping the sides of the truck, my mind was elsewhere. Away from the dumb rocky road, away from the fact the others were singing some stupid song, and away from the fact I felt like pure shit. Instead, my mind kept thinking of Joel's and Sausage's faces, and the slight smirk Joel had before I passed out. What were they planning?
Nevermind, that doesn't matter. I needed to get out of here.
I forced myself back into my body and looked around, flexing my fingers as we started to slow, the wind slowing to a gentle breeze. I glanced over at Sapnap, who was still pale from using his powers, but he smiled at me, slowly standing even as the truck was moving.
I looked past him at the house, and saw a few people looking out the windows, watching as we got closer. Looking down a little, I could see Phil standing on the porch, pulling at his fingers as his eyes caught mine. He definitely looked scared, which made my stomach twist as I looked away.
When the truck finally stopped, Sapnap stood up straight, walking over to the edge and jumping over, not even thinking of getting off the right way through the door. He seemed to regret it immediately, his legs giving out immediately as he hit the ground, falling face first to the ground.
I stood quickly, getting out the correct way and going over to him, helping him up off the ground. Wilbur and Quackity joined us, with Wilbur draping Sapnap's arm over his shoulders.
Together, we walked towards Phil, a group of quiet, tired, and slightly beat up losers, dragging shopping bags behind us. Actually, who am I kidding. I'm the only loser here, the only one that didn't fit in with the family they had created.
Once we got on the porch, Phil pulled Wil in for a hug, then Quackity and Sapnap and then he turned to me, and opened his arms for a hug, obviously giving me a choice.
I wanted to. There was something in me that wanted to let him hug me, and wanted to let him hold me. There was a part of me that wanted to join this family of misfits, and finally escape the past I keep running from. But I couldn't.
I couldn't get attached. I couldn't.
I stepped back away from him and he just smiled as he brought his arms back down, picking up Sapnap easily and walking inside, the rest of us following behind him.
No one was in the entrance room. Phil carried Sapnap in, gently setting him on the couch, mumbling things into his ear before standing, letting Sapnap curl into a ball and falling asleep while Phil turned to the rest of us.
"Let's go get you all ready for bed" He didn't get mad, didn't sound even slightly upset, just a bit anxious. The others around me nodded, not even thinking of fighting as they went up the stairs. After a second, I followed them, only to be stopped by Phil.
"Ranboo, we need to talk"
