cruel summer

Chapter 12

The rest of the week had been pretty quiet we only had three weeks left before summer starts so all my classes were nothing interesting, everyone one was already on summer mode. I was still doing extra credit for some of my classes but they were all complete other than photography.

Me and Logan had been texting everyday since Monday. It was weird to have him back in my life so, casually.

My Dad hadn't touched me in anyway in over a week and it was messing with me head, I'm not really sure why but it's making me get false hope.

It was now Thursday and I was sat on Beatrix's bed right now reading while she sketched new designs. We were listening to Harry Styles which was how we initially bonded.

"we should do something tomorrow night" Bee said to me looking up from her pad. I hadn't been out of the house or really done anything besides school or Bee's house. She was trying to be a good friend and make me more comfortable leaving the house.

"What did you have in mind B" I said closing me book sitting up. She looked into space for a second thinking.

"how about we talk to Aiden and Logan, we could all go to the beach or something just the 4 of us" she said wiggling her eyebrows with a mischievous look.

"what's the real reason" I said knowingly to her.

"it's nothing bad" she said laughing "I just think now you guys are friends again it mite be nice to hang out as a group, you know I can't be your only friend forever" she said mockingly.

I still not sure there wasn't a different motive here, "and do you know how they feel about it" I said to her crossing my arms.

"It was Aidens idea actually, we all get along so why not hang out as a group" she said honestly.

I was in very much two minds about this, "it's going to be so awkward B if you and Aiden are off by yourself now that you borderline dating it's going to make things weird with me and Lo and we just got back to normal."

"Ok if that's what your worried about we will keep it strictly platonic all night. And we're not dating I don't really know where we stand but it's in a nice stage right now so I wouldn't try anything anyway" she said smiling. She seemed genuinely happy with him and that's all I could want for her.

"Ok then" I said slightly huffing. "we can all hang out just promise me you won't make it weird" I hopefully stared at her

"Ahhh I promise your not going to regret this" she said lunging forward to hug me.

I had gone home Thursday night because I wanted to check in at home and get some cloths and shower. I also just wanted to sleep in my own bed.

I shut the door gently and switch on the wall way light. Immediately I notice my dad by the kitchen counter and the look in his eyes gave me chills, not a good kind.

"Get over here" he said bluntly to me. I stared over a numbness washing over me and made my way over to him, putting my bag down on the table.
