Chapter 13

Athena

We only had a half day today so it was now lunch and everyone was leaving for the weekend. I stayed behind after photography to meet up with Logan.

Beatrix and Aiden had arranged us all going to the beach after school and I was actually excited to spend some time with friends outside of the house. They were going to head straight there before us for a little bit while me and Logan went home to get some stuff.

"Hey Lo" I said as he walked up to meet me and gave me a friendly hug as we left the classroom.

We both walked out of school to his car talking about our day and what we had done. "I told Aid we wouldn't be very long just need to change and pick up my board" he said as we got into the car and shut the doors.

"That's fine I just need to change" I said smiling to him. Silently he handed me the aux cord and I plugged it in immediately, playing 'just like a movie' by the wallows.

I hummed along to my music on the drive home feeling completely at peace. The feeling didn't last long as we pulled up to my house, my dads truck wasn't there thankfully he hadn't come back since Thursday night.

Every time he leaves I think it will finally be the day when he doesn't at all, but he always crawls back eventually.

"I'm just going to get my things I'll meet you outside in 10 yeah?" Logan said walking up to his house. I nodded and walking into my house.

I walked up to my room ignoring the mess and put some Sun lotion into my tote bag along with the book I'm reading at the moment 'addicted to you'. I had wanted to read the series for so long but couldn't find it anywhere but Bee had brought it for me and gave it to me a couple days ago, that's why she's my best friend. I through in a hat and a beach towel before changing into my floral bikini with some white material shorts and a short sleeve shirt.

Luckily I didn't really had any obvious bruises so I could where whatever I wanted without being too self conscious.

Before I had time to think about it too much I went downstairs to fill up my water bottle and put on my converse to meet Logan outside.

"I'm ready" I said approaching him with a smile, he was leant across the hood of his car on his phone, when he heard me he looked up and smiled. He was wearing his swim trunks and a plain white T-shirt kind of see through where I could see his tanned toned chest.

My heart skipped a beat as he took in my appearances and smiled admiringly. "you look beautiful" he said leaning of his car and going to the drivers side. Beautiful I smiled to myself.

We arrived at the beach quickly as we lived pretty much on the shore and parked up. "Do you think there going to make us do some weird bonding activity" he said undoing his seatbelt and looking over at me resting one arm on the middle console.

I laughed "honestly maybe knowing Beatrix" I said copying his body language. He let out an amused sigh reaching over and giving my bare thigh a squeeze. God this boy is giving me butterflies I can't deal with it. "Better go meet them and get started" he said before we both hopped out.

He grabbed his surfboard from the car rack and walked with me towards the sand.

I spotted Beatrix and Aiden calling out to them as we approached. I gave Bee a hug and put my towel and bag next to hers.
