"Is that all you have?" Katara wonders, eyeing Aang's overnight bag. Aang glances sideways at her, his body coiled with anticipation. "Why are you asking?"

"You just have an overnight bag, that's why I'm asking." Katara responds, scrolling through the internet on her phone. "So, will you bring everything else tomorrow?"

"Not really." He answers back. Katara narrows her eyes at him. "This is all I have."

"That's everything you own?" A tinge of astonishment was present in her voice.

"It's everything I'll need." He corrects.

"Oh." Katara lets out, speechless.

Aang flashes her a look of annoyance but chose not to bark back. He can't quite recall how he got here. He went out for a smoke and now he's apparently made an acquaintance out of a millionaire. But not just any millionaire... It was no other than Katara of the South, an outlaw.

It was presumably around two in the morning as they strolled Republic City's high street, gazing into charming shops as they pass by.

"I'm bored." Katara huffs, tilting her head at Aang. "Would you like to play a game?"

"Is that a line? Never heard of that before." He shoots her a cautious look, only to discover she was serious. "Do you do this often? With strangers?"

"Well, you're the one who decided to follow a stranger, so I'm winning the night. Are we playing?" Katara smirks, slightly tilting her head as she waits for Aang's reply.

He hums. "I might play. It depends."

"On?"

"Whether it's a trick or not." He grins, one corner of his mouth turning up in a crooked little smile. "From someone like you, I might need to keep my guard up."

A bolstering laugh bursts out of Katara, filling the space between them. Aang finds himself smiling back at her as he runs a hand over his sharp jaw.

"Consider it a get-to-know-you game. Two truths, one lie." She explains. Aang crooks a brow in question, so Katara continues, holding up two hundred dollars bills between her index and middle fingers. "If you win, I'll give you two hundred dollars."
