Chapter 14: Angel's Touch & Simple Dreams

⚠️(If you are sensitive to the topics of massage therapy (which would be silly), then I recommend you don't read this chapter. I'm not going to censor this because massages/massage treatments are not explicitly inappropriate and do not need to be censored. It is simply a platonic, intimate interaction with a trained professional that helps people physically and mentally. Before anyone says intimacy is a form of inappropriate behavior, then I want you to go look up the definition of "intimate", because a lot of people nowadays don't seem to know what that really means. Felix's POV:

After I had unbuttoned the back of her spa top, I traced my fingers gently down her freed, beautiful back, attempting to feel for any dry areas, but her skin seemed perfectly fine. I smiled, thrilled that she had healthy and hydrated skin. She shuddered under my tender touch, but I could tell she enjoyed the soft sensation. I slipped my fingers into her hair, and carefully brushed through it with my fingers. She hummed in delight at the soothing feeling of someone playing with her hair. I was sure to make a mental note to do that more often. "Do you have any pain along your back at any time, my dear?" I slipped my hands down her spine while applying pressure, then blinked in surprise as I felt her back easily pop under the slight pressure. "Oh- Well then," I chuckled, and buttoned her top back up. "Go ahead and sit up for me."

She lifted herself upward, and cast a glance at me with crimson cheeks. She was quite clearly embarrassed. I easily laughed, and helped to adjust the blanket around her waist before proceeding to wrap my arms around her. "Take a deep breath in, then release it when I squeeze. Alright?" She nodded, and hooked her arms around my neck and let them hang loosely over the back of my shoulders. "Deep breath in," I instructed her as I got ready. She did as told. "Now slowly release it-"

As she released the breath, I quickly interlaced my fingers, and pressed my hands against her spine while squeezing. I heard her back crack multiple times, and continued this all the way down to the midsection of her spine. "Feel better?"  She squealed with delight and hugged me. "Goodness, Felix. What are you, a chiropractor now?" She giggled as she locked eyes with my golden brown ones. "But to answer your question from earlier...yes I do often have pain along my back. Especially random monthly occurrences where my right shoulder blade starts hurting."

I rubbed my chin in thought. "Let me try something." I laid her stomach-down again, and unbuttoned the back of her top again. I pressed my fingers against the crevice between her shoulder blade and the upper-midsection of her back. She yelped at one area I had touched, causing me to blink swiftly in surprise. "Well, that's not good. Hold your breath." I extended her right arm, then quickly popped that spot between her shoulder blade. She audibly gasped at the freeing sensation.
"O-Oh my gosh, Felix. You're really good at that. It didn't hurt at all."

"I'm glad I could help," I replied with a grin. I quickly raised the top half of the massage table at an angle so that she could lean forward against it, and allow her to wrap her legs around it as though sitting backwards in a chair.

Y/N's POV:

I began to relax again, thinking about how warm Felix's body had been against mine mere moments ago. I suddenly missed his touch, but it wasn't long before I felt his fingers delicately glide through my hair and slide back down my back again. This time the sensation of him rubbing that honey scented oil along my skin greeted me. It felt so nice. He spoke in a low smoothing voice that sent my heart a-flutter, and touched, traced, and rubbed my skin with the grace and gentleness of an angel. He was also sure to massage my back and shoulders with medium pressure. An hour or so had eventually passed when I fell into a deep slumber thanks to his relaxing treatment.

Felix's POV:

Noticing she was now unconscious, I smiled and took this moment to button her top back up and wash my hands. I proceeded to carefully braid her hair and once I had finished, I left her be and sank down onto my couch. I'm quite glad that she had an enjoyable experience.

Now that I had relaxed, I was left alone with my thoughts. The prank we had pulled on her close friend came back into my mind. I felt my heart begin to thunder within my chest and couldn't help but lift my gaze back up to the slumbering young woman. I had kissed her cheek for that silly little prank. The recent memory of that sensation came flooding back, making my cheeks flush bright as a crimson rose. I shoved the thought away with a huff. Why was it all coming up now? Why did it matter? Questions upon questions continued to flood my mind. But no apparent answer came. Perhaps I was being foolish. I stole yet another glance at (Y/n), and a sense of tranquility washed over me. I allowed my muscles to relax and let myself unwind. My work here was done, and I would continue to let her rest. Time seemed to be at a standstill as I too slipped off to dreamland. I let the darkness take me as I let my dream unfold in a peaceful nap.

~Y/N's Dream~

I was suddenly back at the tussle with Felix and my brother as I watched helplessly. The memory of his scar along his right hip being revealed had sent every book of Felix's that I had ever read back into my thoughts. Every mission, every villain, every adventure, every challenge; he had faced those alone and stood triumphant each time. Despite the hardships that he had faced in his years, he was still so kind, gentle and generous, yet stern and serious when need be.

The scene quickly changed, and now I was beneath him with the handsome cat hovering over my body. We were innocently partaking in a tickle war then. That wasn't too long ago. The image of his face close to mine as we laughed with pure joy squeezed at my heart. I longed for that yet again. More moments surfaced with his strong arms around me as he provided me comfort was one of my favorite moments in my dream. However, my dream was a mere compilation of recent memories that I am unable to stop thinking about. I want his handsome face close to mine again. I want him to hold me close in that protective and gentle manner. I felt so safe and secure in those arms that had vanquished many foes and fought against many challenges. I wanted him near me always.

~End of Dream~

You awoke with a daze and climbed off the magic-bag-turned-massage-table and gazed around the room for Felix with tired glassy eyes before stumbling towards him. You held a loose grip on the blanket around your waist since you wanted to stay warm, like a child sleep-walking that wished to remain cozy. You climbed up onto the couch and curled up next to him, wrapping the blanket around the two of you and slipping back to unconsciousness once your head had gone to rest against his chest. You hadn't even known what you had done. You simply thought it was all part of your dream.

Felix's POV:

I jolted awake, startled by the sudden movement, only to freeze when I saw (Y/n) curl up against me. Thoughts failed me as I wrapped my arm around her waist and let her sleep. I soon began to ponder her reason for snuggling up next to me as she currently only had a spa top on and her knickers, though carefully wrapped in the blanket I had allowed her to borrow. I took a glance down at my lap, noticing she had draped the other half of the blanket over me. A gentle smile crossed my lips at this and relaxed. "Sleep well, (Y/n)," I whispered softly before falling asleep once more.
