"Hailey, wake up. Time for school." I shook Hailey's shoulder, she opened her eyes and quickly stretched before falling back to sleep.

"Hailey, get up." I took off the blanket from her body, she opened her eyes and groaned.

"What time is it?" She said while yawning.

"It's seven in the morning, plus tomorrow is your birthday."

"Oh yeah." She got up and smiled at me.

"Now get ready and come downstairs, food is almost ready." I said before leaving the room.

A month ago, I registered Hailey into a high school near my penthouse and she wanted to get a job so she had an interview over two weeks ago.

They accepted her.

She should've seen the look on her face.

She was happy.

She now works as a waitress at a local cafe, in the cafe their are cats roaming around while you drink your coffee.

Hailey is doing great in school, she's been trying hard and has made at least two friends. She likes school and working, she's just like her father.

I wish he were here with her.

But I know he's watching from above.

I know he's protecting her.

"Hailey! Food is ready!" I yelled as I placed a plate on the counter in front of her usual spot she sits in.

"What did you make today?" She stormed in the kitchen and sat in her spot.

"Pancakes with eggs and bacon along with your favorite drink, orange juice." I said while placing a cup of orange juice next to her plate.

"You're the best." She smiled before eating her breakfast.

I had a toasted bread with avocado on it and a cup of coffee on the side.

"Today is Friday, tomorrow is Saturday which is your birthday."

"I know, what are we gonna do tomorrow?" She asked.

"Whatever you want to do." I smiled slightly.

"How about we go out to get dinner?"

"Sounds good to me, you could invite your friends if you want." I took a sip of my coffee.

"No, I rather spend time with you instead." She laughed before continuing to eat.

"Alright then, are you sure?"

"Yeah, I don't really like having friends. They drain my energy meanwhile you don't."
