|Chapter 14 ~ The Funeral|
|
Lilith's POV
|It's been a five days after Hailey's death and tomorrow is her funeral. I've stayed at Vicente's house for those five days and not once have I got out the room.
I stayed in, isolating myself.
The only time I go out is at midnight, to kill for a living then come back and pass out. I haven't even showered, only go to the bathroom to pee and sometimes shit but I haven't ate either.
I lost myself the day I lost her.
She was my only memory and Family I had from him.
Now it's gone.
"Lilith? Can I come in?" I didn't respond, I just laid in the bed sheets and stared at the door.
"Lilith, we're coming in!" Natasha said before kicking down the door, breaking in my room and I didn't stop her.
"Holy shit! Have you showered?!" Natasha gaged and Victoria slapped her.
"Come on, let's get you in the shower." Victoria said while grabbing me from my left and Natasha on my right, dragging me to the bathroom.
Natasha turned on the lights then the faucet before taking off my clothes. Once I was naked, they got me in tub and began to shower me as I sat there, covering myself with my knees.
I felt no emotion.
"What day is it today?" I mumbled while looking down.
"It's Hailey's Funeral." Victoria answered before putting shampoo on my head and smothering it all over my hair.
"Hailey." I mumbled, tears streamed down my face just by thinking about her.
The only memory I have from her is her lifeless body hugging mine.
"Don't cry, Lilith." Natasha said while grabbing a loofah and washing my body with it slowly.
"She was sixteen, Nat. She had a whole life ahead of her and dreams to accomplish, she didn't deserve to die. I did." My voice broke down into a million pieces.
"No, don's fucking say that Lilith. You did not deserve to die, no one does." Vic said before finishing showering me.
"I could've stopped it. I always do."
"No one can stop death from coming. Plus, Hailey would hate seeing you like this. Don't do it for yourself, do it for her." Natasha grabbed a towel and wrapped it around my body before taking me out.
I stayed quiet and began thinking.
Would she be disappointed in me?
Did I hurt her, just by falling apart?
"Here, change into these clothes." Vic said as she placed it on top of the sink counter and left with Natasha, leaving me alone in the bathroom.
I grabbed my black laced underwear and bra before putting it on. Then, I changed into the black dress with a leather coat that smelled like Vicente.
