Chapter Twelve: Bombarded

Saturday during the day. Happy drives Peter to the Avenger Facility. Peter is nervous to talk to Mr. Stark. He doesn't know what to expect. Happy and Peter walk into the facility together. Happy notifies Tony that Peter has arrived.

Tony: Hello, Hello. Give me some time with the kid.

Happy: Will do.

Tony: I'll let you know when to take him home.

Happy: Okay. I'll be close behind.

Tony: How about a loose follow? I need to have a serious talk with him.

Tony puts his hand on Peter's shoulder. And they start walking.

Tony: Hey Kid, glad you came. I feel terrible about the way we left things last Saturday. I want you to know I wasn't accusing you of anything. You keep saying you're fine but let's be real , you're not okay and that's okay. You are obviously bottling up a lot. You can talk to me about it. You can trust me. I just want to help you. We are all very worried about you Peter.

Peter: Mr. Stark, I appreciate it but I don't need to talk about anything. Everything going on in my life is nothing I can't handle. I promise you.

Tony: Well. I had a feeling you were going to say that. Hear me out now. I really encourage you to go back to therapy. I know you haven't gone since you were younger.

Peter: I just disagree with you Mr. Stark. I can handle everything.

Tony: Sure Kid sure. Of course you can. I'm just saying you don't have too. Don't hate me but I already made you an appointment. I just thought it would be easier for me to make one for you. I also have a surprise for you.

Tony points to the far wall that starts opening.

Tony: Thought you needed an upgrade on your suit after Saturday.

Peter is bombarded by so much at once. First, Tony tells him he's already signed up for therapy. Second, Tony has a gift for him. Was this a bribe? Peter is just speechless right now. He doesn't know how to feel.
