CHAPTER 6

AN: I THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PATEINCE FROM LAST TIME. HERE IS THE CHAPTER WITH THE EXPLANATION I PROMISED YOU. I KNOW THIS ONE IS A LITTLE SHORT AND I APOLOGIZE BUT I DID NOT WANT TO GET INTO THE NEXT SEGMENT OF THE STORY AT THE END OF A CHAPTER.

TOKYO PAYNE AND MII

(THIRD PERSON POV)

When Payne had woken up he found himself in what looked to be a clothing store that went under, judging by all the boxes of clothes laying around. Feeling a draft and the dusty tiles against his skin he realized he was naked and remembered Mii was with him. Looking around he saw Mii unconscious and also without clothes just like him laying on a pile of boxes. Turning away for her sake he began looking for clothes wishing he had his armour, when suddenly it all appeared on him in an instant. Thinking this was strange he decided to test his theory but imaging himself without it. Just like that he was naked once again, happy with this he began looking for underwear and mens clothes, however he had to shift through a fair amount of women's clothes to find them.

At some point Mii woke up and began panicking when she realized they both naked, fortunately for them he covered her mouth in time. After a few minutes of her thrashing around and calling him a pervert she calmed down enough to listen. Testing her flame magic she was able to create a small flame in the palm of her hand, with a light source this made them finding clothes easier all be it more embarrassing. After they found what they needed and got dressed they decided to take what supplies they could from her before leaving at night.

Payne was wearing a slightly loose white button up shirt with black jeans and a black blazer. For footwear he had on him a pair of shiny black dress shoes with white socks. He also picked up a light blue handkerchief that reminded him of his armour so he decided to go with it. Mii had gone with a white cotton t-shirt deciding not to go with any kind of jacket as her body temperature was higher than it use to be irl for some reason. She assumed this was due to her being able to manipulate fire freely in this new body. Due to this fact, she decided against pants and went with a red skirt that ended just above the knees. With her black leather boots going up to just below her knees, though it could not be seen, she was wearing ankle length white socks. However unlike Payne who did not get a hat, she chose to go with a hard black plastic hairband that was meant for fire quirk users so she did not have to worry about burning it. She also had a thin red scarf around her neck that was also fire proof, she marks on her neck from sleeping on the boxes and decided to cover them up to be safe.

They filled two large travel bags each with spare clothes, some of the little accessories they found around the shop, and some money like coins under table or employee lockers. Fortunately the store had water bottles all be it room temperature bottles left in the staff fridge in the break room. There were some stale crackers that the two shared talking about what to do next, they decided that they would leave at around just before dawn while it was still dark. Then they would proceed to the local library to get some necessary information. Scared but not wanting to admit it, Mii wrapped herself around Payne arm saying this was to prevent them from getting separated by crowds. Payne would have had difficulty holding her hand with the bags they were carrying so he reluctantly agreed but just like her put on a calm air of nonchalance. While these two were putting a show on for one another they drew... some unwanted attention. What they had not realized was Mii looked like a high schooler and Payne looked like he was in his early to mid twenties at most. However the idea that a twenty year old was linking arms with a teenager while carrying two travel bags each was suspicious in everyones eye but not in their eyes. They were suspicious of Payne and what his intentions for her were, as a result someone informed a hero on patrol and he discreetly followed them.
