Willow's POV
I walked to my right side of the temple to explore the area a bit. As I turn the corner, I see far away and near the front of the temple two bright red humanoidish pig creatures and a wrecked, old, and dirty looking machine that had way too many legs than necessary. 'I hope I don't come across any of those multi-legged machines anytime soon. I'm shuddering just thinking about them.'I look at the pig things with disgust, 'what the hell are those creatures? They look unbelievably ugly.' I hid behind the temple and looked around for a way to get around them.
"I could walk to the other side but there could be more and those two pig thingys could see me turning the corner at the front of the building." I whispered my thoughts out loud to myself.
I looked around the area to my right to see where I could travel without being spotted. I see a pathway that looks like it leads up to a snowy mountain.
'That pathway seems to be the best spot to head to now, from there I'll see if there's another spot that I can go to.' I thought as I got ready to book it there.
I look at the pig things to make sure that they're distracted before I run, they're just staring at each other and doing absolutely nothing.
So I sprinted to the pathway and went up enough to see a pond in front of me and camp with some more of those pig things up and away from the pond.
I look around the pond to see if there's a clear way to go to the front of the pond. I spot a big elivaded rock and a few pillars on the right side of the pond. I quickly run over to the elevated rock, hiding behind it as I watch the pigs on steroids now smelling each other's butts.
I look at them in disgust and I run over to the first pillar and again peek over at the ugly pigs creatures to see that they're looking around and jumping, still not noticing me.
I ran over to the second and last pillar and then again peaked over at them to see that they were staring in my general direction curious at the noise they heard just a few moments ago.
I quickly look away from them as I silently wait for them to go back to their weird ass dance and butt sniffing.
I peek over again and see that they have gone back to their dance ritual and I quietly sighed in relief.
I made sure that this time I was much quieter as I made my way over to another pretty big rock to hid behind. I hear the ugly pigs doing their dance still as two other mutated pigs walked around near the bottom of the temple where quite a few other ruined buildings were.
I look in front of me to see a pathway a little away from me heading down to another pathway that would bring me up to a little mountain area or down to the pigs on steroids, I decided on the little mountain area to see if there were any kind of weapon or resources I could use to help me later. I still need to look for this chosen kid that I apparently need to help.
As I head up the path, being careful to not alert those pig creatures. I hear a familiar sound. A pig creature is sleeping under a tree about 10 meters in front of me.
I internally panic, I have no idea how to fight those things? I need to be really quiet just in case it alerts the others.
*Snap*
"Shit."
The creature wakes up to see me, standing there with my panicking and sweat dripping face. It screams and grabs the closest rock to itself and throws it at me.
I immediately, internally facepalm and stop worrying, '... is that all it's going to do... throw rocks at me?' I caught the rock it had thrown and threw it right back at the pig creature really hard. The rock hits the creature square on the forehead, knocking it out.
'...that was unnecessarily easy.' I deadpan at the stupidness of the pig creature. I decided to leave it there, it was just wasting my time. I walked up the hill a little more, I saw a small little hut made of lots of big rocks. I looked in and saw an old man relaxing there, baking apples on an open fire.
*Stomach growling*
I didn't realize how hungry I was until now. Damn, it looks so good that I can feel myself drool a little. The old man looks over at me, gesturing to come over to him.
'Should I really go over there? I mean he could be trying to lure me over there to kill me. Or he could see me drooling over his food and is just trying to be nice. I doubt he could do much, he looks old af.' I think to myself.
'Meh, I'll take the risk.' I walk over to him slowly, as I do he speaks, "Hello, you seem hungry. If you'd like, you can have some of the apples I have already cooked here. There's more apples in the tree if you want more." He spoke, his voice very deep and made me flinch a little.
"Thank you kindly. I'll get a few more to replace the ones I'm having." I thanked the old man politely, a small smile present on my face, as I took one of the piping hot apples, they looked to be baked to perfection.
I bit into the hot apple and humed in delight. "Wow, the fire really brings out the sweetness of the fruit and the warmth just adds to the effect!" I stated aloud, my mouth full of the hot apple as I happily gobble down the hot fruit in my hands.
"I'm glad you're enjoying it. Though, I have a question for you. You don't have to give me an answer if you do not wish." The old man asked me.
"Sure! Ask away." I told the old man. He smiles a little and asks his question.
"Why are you up on this plateau? It's quite treacherous to get up here as it is completely isolated from everything else." I look at him with a very confused look, tilting my head on to the left.
"Ummmm... I have no idea. I just woke up here in a little cave shrine thing? But, now that I think of it, how DID I get up here? How did YOU get up here? How did ANYTHING get up here?" I answer, now questioning everything and everyone of how they reach up on top of this area.
"I see, you don't need to worry how I or anything else up on this plateau has gotten up here." He responded to me, a sad look in his eyes appeared for just a moment. Just long enough for me to notice.
"Ok then... Sooo, I have a question for you!" I ask him, a little weary from his response to my answer.
"Ask away." I take a deep breath before asking.
"Do you know anything about a dude named Link with a title of 'the chosen one'?"
