Willow's POV
Sitting by the campfire I made with boar meat cooking nicely, I sigh with great annoyance as I wait for Link to come out of the shrine. 'It's been 2 hours since he's gotten into the shrine now, is this shrine really big or is he just really slow...'I rub my ass to reduce the pain from a few moments ago as I wait for him. Earlier, while I was trying to kill the boar, the damn thing ran into me head on and knocked me hard on my butt as it attempted to run away. I killed it of course but it still caused a literal pain in my ass.
'That damn boar got what it deserved,' I thought as I stared at the slow cooking meat around the fire. After relaxing for an hour longer, slowly cooking meat to perfection. I begin to feel impatient; thankfully though, I heard the door of the shrine open and saw Link walk out.
I was relieved that I didn't have to wait any longer and wait for him to notice my presence, a tiny smile on my face. But then out of nowhere, the Old Man paraglides down to us, surprising the both of us. I give the older guy a weird look since he just came from nowhere, something was definitely off with him.
"Oh hoho! It seems you've gotten the spirit orb Link! Congratulations." The old man boomed in pride. I felt a bit awkward during the interaction, so I just sat in awkward silence on the ground with the food I had just made for Link to eat.
Link looks at the Old Man surprised but nevertheless he nodded his head. It was clear that the two young adults were confused and surprised but we just ignored it for the moment and listened to what he wanted to say to us.
The Old Man explained to us that he won't give us the paraglider yet and that we needed to complete the rest of the shrines that were on the plateau before we could earn it. I sighed and frowned at the realisation that we had to put in way more work than was originally promised.
When the conversation was over, the Old man left us on our own to discuss our next steps and strategize. We both sat by the fire I had made earlier and ate the boar meat I cooked. Discussing where we want to start and where we could find each other's shrines, using the Sheikah Slate.
"Link, do you have any ideas on finding the other shrines? I have one but I want to hear your opinion first."
Link nodded and thought for a minute or so before answering my question to him. "Well, I would think it's best if we could head to higher ground. Maybe the Temple of Time or the Sheikah Tower?"
I nodded my head with a bright smile and hummed while poking at the fire with a random stick I found, trying to kill the flames slowly. "Exactly what I was thinking, the Sheikah Tower is perfect for viewing the landscape of the plateau."
Link nods and gets up from the rocks we were sitting on. I get up as well and grab some water to put out the embers of our fire.
Once we are both ready, Link gets out the Sheikah Slate and opens the map. He clicks the button for the tower and sees a 'Teleport' button appear. He tilted the screen to show me and I examined it with him.
"Accept it, Link." Link nods in understanding and grabs my hand gently while clicking the button on the screen to initiate the teleporting sequence. I suddenly feel my body get lighter and my eyes widened. I close them tightly and wrap my arms around the closest thing to me, which so happens to be Link.
My arm was wrapped around his torso while he continued to hold my hand ever so gently and somehow, managing to keep calm for the most part. All while he's being clung to like a koala to a tree and becoming very lightweight in the span of about 3 seconds.
After what seemed like forever, though it was only a few moments, we both ended up at the top of the tower where we both were previously after activating the tower. I let go of Link awkwardly and apologized, my cheeks and tips of my pointed ears a bit red due to embarrassment.
