Willow's POV

After slowly but surely making our way down the tower, we were greeted by the Old Man flying down from an unknown area with a paraglider after we touched the ground of the plateau.

"Ho Ho, well it seems to me that we have quite the enigma here," the old man started while Link and myself nodded in agreement, the old man continued with, "this tower along with many others like it seemed to have erupted from the ground all across the land after one another. It's as if a long dormant power has awakened all a sudden..."

We nodded again to his statement, waiting for him to continue once again. "If you do not mind me asking... Did anything... odd occur while you were atop that tower?" Link had answered with his usual quieter voice, "I hear a voice" I nodded in agreement.

"A voice you say...? Did you two happen to recognize this mysterious voice at all?" Link and myself shook our heads in response.

"Ah, how unfortunate." The old man turned towards the castle and spoke yet again. "I assume you two have caught sight of that atrocity surrounding the castle? That monster is Calamity Ganon. One hundred years ago, that vile entity brought the kingdom of Hyrule to ruins along with its champions." Link turned to stare at the castle with curiosity while I kept my stares away due to Ganon's antics from earlier giving me a slight jump scare.

Instead, I look to the volcano in the far distance. 'I'm gonna die if I enter the vicinity of that volcano. I swear if we have to go there at some point, I'm not going to survive.' I thought with a white face while the old man continued to explain about what happened to Hyrule Castle 100 years ago.

But, I decided to stop listening as it was a little boring and I would figure it out eventually, 'how long is this dude gonna talk for? I understand it's important but he's gotta summarize this shit, we gotta save a kingdom to save.' After his long and grand speech, he asked us a question as he turned towards us.

"I must ask you, courageous ones... Do you intend to make your way to the castle?"

"I do," Link responded. I just nodded my head <yes> as I'm not really in the mood for any chit chat plus my mind decides that it wants to be distracted and not pay any attention. "I had a feeling you two would say that." I finally turn towards the old man only to phase my thoughts away once again from him as he decides to explain what a plateau is to us, 'wow, I had nooo idea what a plateau was. Thank you for this life changing information.' I sarcastically think as I secretly roll my eyes, then Link decides to have the bright idea of demanding for the old man's paraglider.

"Oho! Certainly! Why not?!" The old man replied with. 'What the actual f... Really?' My expression shocked and unsure if it was actually true. "But there is no such thing as a free item, in this world, you know." The old man finished. 'I should have freaking known, there's always a catch with an offer so great.'

"Let's see now... How about I trade it for a bit of treasure that slumbers nearby?" Link and I glance at each other and quietly whisper about the offer. "Honestly, I think it seems fair enough, not sure why he wants some local treasure but I doubt it'll be that hard to get." I whisper. "Sounds good to me." Link whispered back confidently.

Link and I turned to the old man and nodded. "Alright. Come, let me show you something." Link and I slowly follow the old man up to a little viewpoint showing us a glowing orange shrine a little in the distance along with a few small bodies of water and a funky pig camp. We look over to the old man once again as he speaks.

"Do you see that structure there? The one shining with a strange light? It began glowing at the exact moment those towers rose up from the ground. I think such a place might house some sort of treasure, wouldn't you? Treasure for the paraglider. A fair exchange, I believe" The old man finally finishes and we're finally left to our own devices.

"This'll be a piece of cake! Let's get rolling, Willow!" Link yells as he starts to book it to the shrine type structure.

"COMING BUT SLOW YOUR ASS DOWN DUDE!" I yell back at him as I begin to run in the same direction as he did.

-Time Skip-

When I finally reach the shining structure, Link is investigating it as he waits for me to arrive. I glanced around the structure quickly as Link turned to me grinning with his arms crossed. "Looks like someone's a little slow."

"Haha, very funny." I rolled my eyes as Link and I stood on the platform that was connected to the shrine. "I'm slowly getting sick of seeing these pedestals everywhere we go." I state with my arms crossed and my expression full with boredom and some annoyance while Link activates the pedestal as his features show happiness and calmness.

The structure turns from its yellow colour to the same colour of blue as the tower we were on earlier. The door of the structure opens and Link and I start to walk in. Before I enter, I hear a strong, ancient, masculine voice in my head that quickly stops me from continuing forward into the shrine.

"These shrine's are only for the hero of Legend to enter, Willow. Wait for him to finish the trial ahead of him outside."

Link looks at me weirdly as I glance around to see we're the voice had come from. "Well? Are you coming or what?" He asked with curiosity and confusion. I sigh in annoyance as I replied to him.

"I just got told off by some ancient man for trying to enter this shrine. I've been told that they're only made for you to enter. But, don't worry about me. I'll wait for you out here, just don't take too long." I grin at him with an apologetic look. Link gives me a small sigh before nodding and entering into the depths of the shrine.

After he leaves, I'm left to wait on my own. 'What to do? What to do?' My form slouched as I sigh, trying to think what I should do to pass the time as Link deals with his mini adventure without me. Out of the corner of my eye, I see a wild boar by the forest line. I slowly grin at the idea that appeared in my thoughts.

"I bet Link is going to be starving after this, I think I'll serve him some delicious boar..." I tell myself as I stare at the wild boar with mischief and humour. With the Sun as my witness, stalk the boar as I prepare to murder.
