Xavier
A few weeks had gone by since the move and the commute was much easier. I'd started my last and final semester before graduation and Byron had an away game coming up. I was being more and more nervous on telling him that I'm pregnant but the fear of what happened in the past keeps rising. I dropped Khari off to school then grabbing something to eat with Byron before his flight to Arkansas. "Wanna tell me why you've been so jumpy every time I touch you lately?" He asked as we sat in IHop and waited on our food to arrive. "No reason. Just nervous about getting graduation situated and you're leaving me in a couple of hours. It's the first time I've really been alone in a while and just me and bugg in that big ass house by ourselves is scary." I quickly replied. He chuckled. "If you're gonna miss daddy just say so." He joked. I hit his arm and giggled. "That's not funny BB. I still don't see why we need so much space." I said taking a sip of my sprite, silently praying I keep it down. "We both always wanted a big family besides what if family comes to visit?" He asked smartly. I sighed and looked out the window, not responding. "Okay, Xai, tell me, what is it?" I looked to him and dabbled the tears threatening to fall and took a deep breath. "Bryon. I'm pregnant." I was only crying because I'm worried that this life is what he decides he doesn't want this. Us. Me and Khari. Most of all this baby. I was slowly driving myself sick and stressing is completely unhealthy. I couldn't bring myself to even look at him. I was slightly holding my breath for a response. "That is the most amazing news I could get before leaving." I slowly looked to him and he smiled. He wiped my tears then pecked my lips. "It's not too soon?" I asked softly. He chuckled and shook his head. "I told you. I want a big family and if that means having more kids with you or adopting with you then that's what we'll do but I like the first option better. It's more fun." I giggled and smacked his arm again as the waiter came back to the table. "I'm sorry. I don't mean to disturb you guys but we were wondering if we could get some pictures with you guys? You are like the biggest deal here." Byron looked to me as if to ask if I was okay with it. I was just amazed that he included me which quickly washed away the doubts. After so many photos, autographs and meeting fans we finally ate then headed to the airport. We held into each other for a little while before he had to go through security. "Be careful. And kiss my baby for me and let her know I'll face time with her before bed and read her a book." He looked down at me. "Hey I'll be back before you know it. Just take care of you and my little nugget until I get back and get yourself ready for graduation. A week will go by like a couple of days, I promise. I love you Angel." He told me and of course I went for it because I'm a sucker when it comes to him. "Byron Harrison are you saying that I am hopeless? And Bugg is gonna be mad you left without letting her know you'll see her in a week." He chuckled and pecked my forehead. "I think your pretty mad enough for the both of you. I'll call you once I land and get to class before you're late. And yes, I am calling you hopeless." I giggled and kissed him one last time. I walked away and headed to the car. "Excuse me?" I turned to a teenage boy standing behind me. "Yeah?" I responded. "I'm sorry to bother you but I recognized you from the last sports interview Byron Harrison did and I was wondering if I could have your autograph and get a picture?" I smiled softly and nodded. "Thank you so much." He said after the task was done. I climbed in the car and took off towards school, calling Nadia on the way. "Long as you know I'm still breathing bitch." She said as I made my way into the freeway. I chuckled and shook my head at her being dramatic. "I miss my Aidey. I'm kidnapping him for the week." I told her only to get a chuckle from her end. "You're sad. I can't believe you using them babies because you scared to be alone in that big beautiful house." I chuckled. "NaNa don't judge me just have his bags packed when you pick him up which I need you to get Bugg for me. I have to run a few errands with Gramm after school." I said as I exited the free way and pulled up to the school. "It's no problem. Have you told Byron yet?" She asked as I sat in the parking lot to kill a little time. "Yeah this morning at breakfast, He was beyond happy and I'm still worried, then we were attacked by fans. Ever since we did the interview I've been getting stopped for pictures and autographs. It's kind of weird but I don't want it to take over." I told her as I switched my phone from blue tooth to my headphones. "Well at least it's in the air. I saw that interview and those pictures are adorable. Everything will be fine, don't worry so much. Go to class. I'll see you later on today." She told me before hanging up in my face. I chuckled and let my music play as I walked up the stairs and down the pathway. I made it to class to see Lorie sitting in our usual seats. She was in her own little world. "Morning sunshine." She looked at me and smiled. "Morning unicorn." She responded and I started giggling. "Haven't seen much of you lately. How's everything been? How'd he take the news?" I sat down and caught her up on everything before the professor came in. During lunch we sat outside in the grass and studied for our upcoming quiz at the end of the week. "Xavi!" I turned and looked around but didn't see anyone. "Excuse me, are you Xavier Lawrence?" I slowly nodded and looked at the young man holding roses. "Yes?" I said skeptically. "This is for you." I accepted them and read note after thanking him. I smiled because my dad always sent me gifts the whole month of my birthday. I heard my name being called again and when I looked up I saw my dad walking across the courtyard. I instantly started crying and stood as he got close to me. He wrapped his arms around me and I sobbed into his chest as I hugged him tightly. "Hey baby girl." He whispered into my hair. I hugged tighter. He'd been gone going on 2 years now and to say I missed him was an understatement.
