Chapter 12

Xavier

Having my dad around with the kids was a really big help because I was slowly beginning to blow up and quickly too. My birthday was in the morning and he insisted on cooking dinner for me and invited all 3 grandparents, Carlos and Nadia and of course Aiden. We were salsa dancing and joking around, having laughs while I texted Byron to tell him how I miss him. I was smiling at my phone when I realized everybody got quiet and all eyes were on me. "What are you guys staring at me like that for?" I asked skeptically. I heard someone speak. "Angel. I'm here." I let out a breath and jumped from my seat and into his arms. I wrapped my arms and legs around him as tightly as I possibly can or as tight as my belly would allow and just breathed him in. I missed his smell, his voice, his touch, his warmth, I just missed him. "I missed you too baby." He whispered into my hair. I sat up and looked at him with a smile and wet eyes. "Oh no, why are you crying?" He asked making everybody laugh. "Because you're holding a big baby carrying big babies because chica is getting huge." I got down and looked at Nadia. "Shut up NaNa. Just because Los live in your ass doesn't mean other don't miss their man while he's gone." I shot back making them all laugh. "Screw you Xai." Carlos said sticking his tongue out. "Where's baby girl?" He asked kissing my cheek with his arms wrapped around my waist as he rubbed my belly. "Play room with Aiden. You know them two were born together so they are inseparable." Nadia told him. I grabbed his hand and headed towards the front.

We kissed and joked while heading into the play room. "Bugg, Aidey come here." I called outside the door. As soon as they came running to the door Byron was there waiting on them. "Daddy!" Khari yelled as she ran to him. "Missed you." She said as she kissed him. "I missed you too baby girl." He pecked her little lips and picked them up. "A man. What's going on?" He asked him as he took them into the play room. "Leggos!" Aiden shouted. I took a couple pictures and a video on instagram then my phone rang. "Ms. Lawrence?" I heard on the phone. "Mr. Franklin. How are you?" I asked. "I'm doing well. Happy birthday by the way. I do have some information for you and Byron." I walked to the balcony outside. "I'm listening." I said to him. "The case was handled in the meeting room at the courthouse. Kinsley admitted to giving him the address but JoJo is going to jail on drug charges. They both will face child endangerment charges and trespassing charges. After the statement and video was seen by the judge he dealt with it right then. Everything is settled but I can't promise it being avoided by the media." I thanked him and hung up. "Everything okay?" He asked me, wrapping his arms around me with a smile. "Better than okay. Everything is in the clear. That was Franklin." He thanked god and kissed me then my stomach. "I got another call today." I said with a smile. "Turns out the six weeks was sooner than anticipated and I went to the doctor again. We're having twin boys." He started laughing and kissing me. "Dinner!" I heard Sanya yell. "Don't say anything. Let's go eat." I told him.

After dinner my dad took the kids to the house with him, leaving us in the house to ourselves. I took a shower and got dressed in a black bra and boy shirts. I rubbed my body down with cocoa butter. I sprayed my Victoria Secret perfume. "You look beautiful." I heard Byron say in just a pair of basket ball shorts that hung loosely on his waist. "You don't look so bad yourself Mr. Harrison." I said as I stood in the closet searching for a shirt to sleep in. He walked over to me and kissed my shoulders, causing my heart to race. His hands ran slowly and softly down my thigh, slowly making his way back up my inner thigh. My breath hitched and my core was heating up with every second passing and having his hand in my panties only made me want more. He lead me to the bed and began placing hot kisses everywhere along the inside of my thigh. He slowly pulled my panties off to reveal my cleanly shaven skin. He placed one leg on his shoulder and began licking and sucking my pearl so hard I could barely breath. My breathing became ragged and I couldn't speak. Only sounds were released. I woke up about 5 that morning to shower and do some yoga and eat breakfast before having to head into the hospital. My weekend was amazing and I felt refreshed. I went into the room to get dressed and found Byron just waking up. "What have you been doing since 5?" He asked as he gets up and comes into the bathroom with me. "Getting ready for work. Did you forget I start at the hospital today?" I asked as I pulled my clothes on. "No. I. Didn't. No I didn't forget that really important detail." He said as he brushed his teeth. "You're a shitty liar Byron." I said as I walked out of the bathroom, smacking him on the ass as I walked out. "Having the weekend we just had there's no way you could've expected me to completely remember that." He defended as he came into the closet getting dressed. "You just have a one track mind." I told him. "That may be true on certain occasions." He defended causing me to giggle. "We have 2 currently in progress to prove it." I said making my way out of the room to the kitchen. "You cooked?" He asked. "Yes and we both have to get going so I made it simple. Eggs, toast, bacon and a fruit smoothie for me and protein for you." I handed him his food. We are quickly, locked up and left. "I know you're gonna beat me home so get Khari from my dad's. She has an eye appointment at 3. And a dentist appointment tomorrow at 8 but Gramm is gonna take her to that. If it's too much call your mom or Nadia. They'll be more than willing to get her." He chuckled. "I've never left you alone with her." I tell him. "Hey, hey, hey, calm down. She's my daughter. I'm sure I can handle her." He tells me. "Okay. More than likely she'll beg for ice cream before bed. Byron whatever you do, no matter how cute the face is. Do not and I mean do not give her sugar before bed or that dentist appointment tomorrow. You hear me?" I said sternly. He held his hand up in surrender. "I got it now get to work." I kissed him and left, only imagining how this day is going to turn out.

After practice I had lunch with my mom and saw it was time for me to go get baby girl and take her to the doctor. "Afternoon Bryon." Xavier's father said as he let me in. "Afternoon Mr. Lawrence." I reply. He chuckles. "Mr. Lawrence is my father I told you call me Junior." I chuckled. "Did you ask her yet?" He asked as he gathered Khari's things. "I suggested it but I haven't asked again yet." He nodded. "At your own pace son." He said before disappearing. "nieta, guess who's here for you." She saw me and smiled big. "Daddy!" She called. I took her into my arms and smiled. "Give Papa kisses." He told her. She kissed his cheek and hugged his neck. "Love you. See later." She told him as we heard out the door. We made it to the eye doctor and they performed a quick procedure and gave me her glasses. She took a nap while I ran a few errands. I let her pick out a new doll because she promised to wear the glasses. I went against her mother's wishes and gave her ice cream while grabbing something from Sonic. She's been bouncing off the walls every since. I was too tired to keep chasing so I just start on the couch while she danced to the kids channel. I felt the couch dip and I smelled her knowing instantly who it was. "Ice cream?" She simply asked. I nodded sadly and laid my head on her shoulder. "Come on. Let's get ready for bed." She tells me. I point to Khari. "I got it. Go on up. We're right behind you. Promise." I was just coming out of the shower when I heard giggling and running. Xavier was chasing our naked 2 year old into her room. After an hour Xai finally came into the room. She didn't say a word. She showered, came out in a tank top and panties with no bra and knee high socks, her hair was pulled into a bun. "How was your day?" I finally asked. "Weird. I'm pretty sure one of my patients have a crush on me. My mentor is making me her favorite and I'm pretty sure I was being checked more than my patients. Yours?" She asked. "Practice was good. Had lunch with mom. She wants Khari Thursday with Aiden to take them to do something and help with the baby shower. Khari's procedure went well. Bribed her to wear her glasses which makes her look extremely adorable. I bought Sonic for dinner. Sorry but I had no energy to cook today after chasing her through the store and recover from practice. I chased her all afternoon and night until the kids channel sucked her in and she stood dancing for 2 hours until you arrived." She chuckled making her belly bounce. "Can you imagine more of that?" She asked softly rubbing her belly with a smile. "As many times as you want." I told her before kissing her lips and getting comfortable with her.
