Chapter 9

Xavier and Byron in MM

Hearing her say yes was like a jump start to my heart but a hard blow to the stomach. The thought of what Kinsley did and how badly it will affect Kari and Xai is the only thing I can think of. Her smile slowly resolves when she sees I'm not giving a reaction. "That's not exactly how I pictured your face when I told you yes." She said standing from the bed with her arms folded and concern lacing her beautiful face. "What is it BB? Changed your mind already?" I blinked and looked up at her. I was so deep in my head I didn't notice how closed off I was seeming. "Angel, no I haven't changed my mind. I still want to be with you and raise our daughter together. I'm sorry." I said holding her hand as she slowly took a seat beside me. "Does this have something to do with Zion and Kinsley being at the door earlier?" She asked gently. I sighed deeper. "Yeah. Um. Xavier. Do you trust me?" I asked her. She placed both hands on either side of my face and kissed me lovingly. "With everything in me. Now tell me what is going on." She demanded. "I'm under investigation for drugs. Zi had already informed my publicist, lawyers, coach and team owners of what's going on. Kinsley filed a report stating that I keep drugs in the house. So in the morning I'm going to need you to be completely calm and keep Kari from seeing them take me away. I'm gong to need you to be strong but right now we're going to have to close the house up and search it down for any type of drugs she may have planted or had placed." She sat there for a minute then kissed me deeply. "I'm calling Los. He'll know what to do but we have to be careful because they could be watching the house." She said pulling her phone out. We walked downstairs knowing the kids would sleep through anything we began playing music. "Carlos. It's an emergency. Bring NaNa. It's not Aiden. It's happening again and we need your help. Be careful. Right. Bye." She sat the phone down and began casually closing up all the curtains. 20 minutes later there was a certain knock. Xavier rushed to get the door after checking the cameras. "How bad is it?" Carlos asked as he came inside with Nadia. "Investigation. Kinsley is the main witness." Carlos nodded as he looked around. Surveillance just left so I'm sure we don't have long. Let's get going." He ordered. Once the search was over there were 3 big blocks of coke and weed. Carlos knew some people who would clear it off his hands in 10 minutes so the only thing left to do was wait.

Xavier

I woke up early that morning because I heard all of the car doors closing. "Bryon. Wake up. They're here. Get dressed now and I'm going to get the door." He hopped up and nodded. I grabbed a pair of Nike lime green, pink and black work out shorts, a Nike pink and lime green tank top and a black pair of uggs and my hair in a messy bun. I looked to see the kids still sleeping and rushed downstairs. Bryon went into the kitchen. We were both calm. It was nothing there and no proof of it ever being there. It was video of Kinsley and someone dressed as a cop coming into the house. "Morning officers, how may I help you today?" I asked politely. They showed me a piece of paper. "Morning ma'am. Sorry to disturb you but we have a warrant to search the premises and arrest Byron Harrison on drug charges." I nodded and stepped aside and let them in. I saw the kids coming downstairs age immediately took then into the play room. "I want you both to be a big boy and girl and stay here. I'll be right back." They started playing, I turned on the baby monitors and headed back up stairs. "We didn't find anything but we still have to take him in. Let's go." As they arrested him, I kissed him. "I'm right behind you baby." He nodded and was escorted out and placed in the car.

"Thank you guys so much. I owe you everything. I'll be back as soon as I can." I informed Nadia and Carlos. I was meeting his mother at the bonds building. "Drugs? Drugs? Xavier. Explain to me what is going on here?" I was about to speak until Bryon shook his head. Once we got to the house and I began straightening everything back up we went to the lawyers office and took a seat. Zion, the lawyers, his mother (his publicist), his coach, an owner, me and Byron all sat in the meeting together. We showed them the video of Kinsley. "It's good you have this with audio, we can use this in court. I can't promise this won't be in the media but we can file a lawsuit for being wrongfully arrested and for being falsely accused of drugs. I'll send that out today and call you later to give you any further information." She told us. We shook hands. "We'll figure this out. I know where Kinsley is staying. She hasn't left." We didn't say anything. "Give Franky that information. I don't need it. But she will get what's coming to her." He said before grabbing my hand and leading me away.

I know I don't update this book often but I felt the need to so here's a filler chapter. Sorry guys. Love you!
