Signature

Chapter 32

        Inside the palace, I saw Olivia, waiting for me outside. I open the car door and she said, "Hi mom, how is your meeting with Mr. King?" I smiled at her question and said, "Well, it is great, he did what he wanted, we got married." I tried to look at her face to see her reaction, I thought she wouldn't care but then she hugged me and said, "That is wonderful mom, I am so happy for you." I smiled at her and hugged her as well, "Thank you, my daughter."

       After that, we walked to my room, and I changed my clothes, "Mom, can I ask something?" I looked at her and said, "Go on ask?" "Right, when you are gone to save Mr. King last time, you left me here, right?" "Yes, I did." "Well, while I am staying here in the palace, I always walk around and I recently saw something. I saw a portrait of you in a hidden room of the palace. Down the picture, a passage was written, 'Your life will always be remembered and betrayed'. I don't understand what it means, so I go to the library and read about you. I saw your life before and understand your pain, but I have a question for something, why would you still help people when they don't need it." 

      I wear a white shirt and I walk to the bed and sit beside Oliva, "Well... my life has always been upside down as you already know. All the bad things that you can imagine are what I always encounter in a different timeline. But even that happened, the next thing I saw after I open my eyes are good things, good people. Even if there is a bad thing that always happened in our life there is still someone who will help us, that is why. Helping people means helping them be good people and that is what I want people to do, change them." I smiled at her and she smiled back. "Well, how about we go out? What do you want to do?" I asked. "Well, will it be alright, if we go to an amusement park?" "Sure, why not."

     Before going to the amusement park, I let Olivia drive the car. "Are you sure mom?" "Yes, why not?" "Well, father does not allow me to touch his things and..." She looks sad so, I shouldered her like I was her friend and said, "Well you are free now. Don't think about what your father has told you. You can live your life now; I promise you that." I smiled and she drive the car. Inside the amusement park, we buy a VIP ticket, to experience the whole thing. Every ride was very exciting and I enjoyed it. Then, Olivia volunteered to buy us our food. 

      I sit down on the bench and wait for Olivia to come back. While waiting, I saw something magical, a child is crying because his ice cream falls down on the ground, when his mother saw him, she hugs him and told him that she would buy him another one. Then, the child hugs her back and he stops crying. So, the mother stands up and carry him to buy him another ice cream and they left. Looking at them, I suddenly think about what would I do, if I were in that position. I touch my abdomen and talk to my unborn child, "Hey little guy, I don't know if we could survive and live again in tomorrow's war. But if we do, I hope to take care of you until you grow up." I look at the sky and sighed.

     Later on, Olivia came back and she said, "Here you go mom, I am sorry it took me long, the line is long and I have to wait." "That is alright, what did you buy?" "Well, I get some hotdog and fries and some ice cream." I smiled at her and I said, "Wow, that's a lot. Are you that hungry?" She thinks for a second and said, "well... I just want to eat with you for a long time." "Alright, we should eat then."

      While eating, Olivia kept looking at me so I ask her. "What is it? Is there something on my face?" "No, it's just. I know what you are doing today, mom. You are saying goodbye to the people you love. Are you that sure that you will die after this?" I sighed at her question and put my ice cream on the bench, "Well, you are right, and yes, I am sure I am going to die." "Why is that?" She seems to get irritated but I said, "It's because my immortality is now gone." 

      Her face is really shocked that she stuttered while asking me, "How? I mean, how?" "Do you remember when you saved me from that psycho and I vomited blood?" "Yes?" "That is the start. My wounds did not heal anymore, and every time I feel sick, I vomited a lot of blood but then, when I slept with Arthur... I vomit again, but this time the blood is gone. It's just a normal vomit." "Wait, so you are saying, you will die tomorrow because you sleep with Mr. King? But how are you so sure that you are not immortal anymore?" I laugh at her first question but then I sighed and look at her in the eye, "I am pregnant, Olivia." 

      She stops talking and was very shocked. "So... I... shit that is messed up. I mean... no mom, I don't want you to die. Please, just run away... I will deal with it. Did you tell him about it?" "No." "You should tell him mom; he deserves to know about it." "I know, but he doesn't deserve to know that it would die with me." Olivia surrender and said, "Alright, mom. You win... You already decided your own faith, but I promise I would change it for you."

    After my talk with Olivia, we ride home quietly. She parks the car in the garage and walk away but I called her name. "Via!" She turns around and I continued, "Can I call you that?" I smiled at her and her eyes suddenly cry. She runs back to me and hugs me, "Thank you for the time that I have with you today, mom. You change me and I am honored to see you again. I hope to see you again in the next life. If I cannot change your life, I will continue to be you, help others and be one of them. I promise to follow in your footsteps and I want you to know that I love you." 

     She hugged me tightly and I hug her back, my tears fall in down my face, but I said. "Well, I love you too, Via but you might kill me already today." She released me in her hug and wipe her face, I smiled at her and wipe her tears, "I am just kidding, but thank you, you give me time to be a mother to you. And forgive me for the time I cannot give you back. I would also want you to know, that I love you." She smiled at me and we walk to the palace together.

While walking to the palace and telling Via about my past journey. I suddenly saw the Queen talking to someone. I bow down to her and she smiled, then, I was surprised to see, "Arthur?" "Ysha? What are you doing here?"
