The next morning, I woke up and found myself that I am alone, I called Arthur's name but he did not respond, so I immediately stand up and dress. When the door handle moves and, in my panic, I grab my gun and the door opens and Arthur came in with the breakfast in his hand. He looked at me pointing the gun in his face and he said, "Wait, it's just me. I just buy some foods for us to eat. I didn't—" he is still talking when I put the gun on the table and I walk towards him and hug him, "No, it is alright, I am sorry I just thought that you might have been captured without any traces." Then, he hugged me back and said, "No, I am sorry, I just want to serve you for a while but I forgot about that part and just carried away because you are here with me." I look at him and touch his face, "Just tell me next time, I don't want you to experience what I experience." "Alright, I understand," he replied.
After eating the breakfast, Arthur holds my hand and said, "Margaret, I know you've been avoiding me because of your own problems, but you don't need to do it alone. I can help you, just tell me." I sighed at his words and I replied, "Arthur, it is not that easy. My identity, who I am, I am much more complicated than you think. You, knowing about who really I am might put you in great danger because they are hunting me to use me as a tool." Then, he said, "Then don't make it complicated, just tell me and I will listen. I will decide whether what you said is true or not but remember I will believe you. If it is unreal or impossible, I will listen I promise."
I do trust him, I do, but I can only tell him, about who really I am. "Alright," I bow my head then I sighed and then I look at him, "My real name is not, Margaret, Alice, or Annie, it is Ysha. My father named it to me which means "alive". When, I was in my mother's womb, my mother is always in the verge of death when she is carrying me, but in the end, I came out healthy and alright, and they named me that. I don't have a surname because we don't have it in our time, and like I told you I am much older than you think I am." "Then, tell me," He interrupted, I look at him then he said, "Right, I am gonna listen." Then, I continue, "I am a thousand years old, Arthur. Before you are born, I have been living here on earth, I am one of your ancestors to be exact."
His expression changes into shocked, amused, confused and said, "Wait, are you serious? How? I mean what?" Then I said, "It's true I am a thousand years old, I am not a ghost, nor a god that roam around the earth, but I am an immortal. My face stop changing in my adult age that is why I doesn't look old. And this is the reason why I don't want to go out with you." He looked at me and he said, "So, to simplify things, you don't want to go out with me because I am so much younger than you." "No, it's not like that..." I said but he interrupted, "No, I think that is it. You hide your identity because you don't want me to know you, you lied about who you are because simply you don't trust me. You believed that you love me but you only love yourself. You... you don't really love me—" I don't want to hear his words anymore and I suddenly slap him in the face.
He stops talking and I said, "No, it is not about that, I don't want to get involved with you because I don't want to grow old with you, seeing that you will die and I am still alive. I don't want to contact you because, I know that you can find someone better than me, who can be by your side until the last of your days. I lied because it is not for me but for you, and I am sorry if I slap you..." I stand up and walk away, I drive my car and left him there alone.
In the phone booth, I call his manager and told him that Arthur is still alive and he can get him in the motel in Queens. I gave him the location and I drive back near the motel. I waited for Arthur to leave before coming inside until I saw him riding the limo. He was about to go in but he stop and look around the place waiting if me to be back. I hide in my car until he rides inside and they left.
After they left, I walk inside and the receptionist call me, "Ma'am, Mr. King, has left a note for you." "Thank you, has he said anything else before he goes?" The receptionist said, "No, unfortunately, he did not say much." I bow my head and sighed then I smiled at the receptionist and said, "Thank you, I shall get my things and check out today." The receptionist nodded, and I clean my things. I am ready to leave when I saw a soldier talking to the receptionist. But then, when the receptionist looks in my direction, so did the soldiers.
The soldiers saw me and I run back inside. I open some doors of the room to get out of the window when they started shooting in my direction and I find a place to hide. I open my bag and get some guns when I vomit blood again. I wipe it immediately and look outside, I hear themspeaking and said, "Ms. Levy, our doctor needs to meet you again. We just need to bring you to him and no one would be harmed." "I would never come back to that psycho again, tell him that when one of you survives." I throw a smoke grenade outside and jump out the window again when suddenly I saw a bunch of soldiers waiting for me.
"What in the world," I said, then, someone call their leader and I saw him walk outside. "Well, I never thought that we could get you easily, aren't we?" He orders his men to walk towards me when I sit down on the grass and laugh at them. The sergeant looked at me with confusion and said, "Why are you laughing? Is there something funny about what I said?" "Actually, there is. Wanna know what it is?" I stand up and remove my jacket, the soldiers then move back and I said, "Come walk towards me, and we will all die together." In my body, I am wearing a bomb and I am holding the detonator in my hand.
