Chapter 15

      The Queen and I sit down in her greenhouse garden, her servants give us tea and biscuits. I said thank you for their humble service and smiled when the Queen suddenly ask me something. "Dear, what shall I call you? Annie, Sham, Margaret, Teresa, Lilah, Alex, Alysha..." the Queen asked me straight to the point and intended to call all my names until I interrupted her. "I apologize for my rudeness but how did you know all about that? I suppose I am not in trouble as you speak, am I?" 

      The Queen then smiled at me and said, "No, dear, no your majesty, but as you know. My grandparents have always looked at someone's portrait. At first, I don't understand why, and who it might be then, as I look at who it might be I saw a beautiful woman, it was a Queen. I never understand who she might be in our life but when I grew up, I realize what she has done that my family has always looked at her portrait. Her majesty has always served her people and helped them when she can. She hides from her people but when they needed her, she fights with them. Until we discover her secret, my family saw her get resurrected and ran away. At first, we thought it was unreal, but through the portrait and the same story from a different timeline, the late Queen manages to help people even though she was ruling. We believe that her majesty never died, and was called immortal today." 

      To my surprise, my face changed and the Queen smiled and said, "I think I know what you are thinking, but yes, her Majesty herself is you, dear, my family has always watched your back as time passes by. We already know your secret, about your immortality but because of your help and knowledge, my family recognizes you and keeps your picture as a sign to remember you in the royal family's ruler."

       I was completely shocked at what the Queen has told me, "But how? I manage to hide well these past few years, and even if I was followed, I always outsmart them." "I know your majesty, that is why when we knew about the rebellion, we started looking for you again these past years until now." I look at the Queen then I stand up, as I stand, I look outside the palace and said, "If you have known my secret, why haven't you come closer to me? I mean, if people have found out about my identity, then, I am sure you will experiment or torture me until I finally die. Instead, you just secretly just watch from afar, why is that?" 

      The Queen then stands beside me and touch my arm, "I know it has been hard on your life for far more years than our life, but even if that is the case you always stand up for what you think is right. You help people and die all over again, but haven't you noticed your pain, it somehow lessens? Your death, you somehow outsmart them, because my family, they are loyal to you, they want to protect and tell your story in our family to save and give you easier life that is why you don't need to worry about us your highness, just live your life and my family will protect you."

        As the Queen convince me, I smiled at her words and walk around the palace. I ask the Queen not to call me my title when we walk around the castle because people will talk and must not know about my identity. Then, as we eat supper, the Queen asked me about my journey, "Tell me, dear, how is your day these past few years?" I wipe my lips with my napkin and replied, "Well, I have been doing different jobs in different countries, I became a teacher, cleaner, electrician, librarian, and now a journalist." "But why have you not settled down in a place where you can rest and just do what you want?" I think for a second then I replied, "Well, because I have lived for thousand years, I tried doing that but, when I settle down, I just find myself having my nightmares, and somehow got close to the people I work with." 

      I manage to answer all the Queen's questions but I was surprised at her last question, "How about love? Have you not fallen in love?" I smiled at the Queen and said, "Well... actually I do, I fell in love with two different men from different timelines, my first love was during the colonization of countries and the second one was just this 20th century, I also have seen him currently." The Queen smiled and said, "Well, that is good, how is he? Did you live with him until the end?" I look at my plate and then I said, "No, unfortunately, I did not. I didn't spend the rest of my life with him because of who am I. But recently when I went to the beach, I saw him again and he recognized me, he told me his story and he said that he still loves me and was very happy that he met me. Until he died in my lap and saw me until the end." After my story, a drop of water falls in my hand, "Oh where does it come from." I look at the Queen and she seems to be sad; tears fall in my eyes and I wipe them, "I apologize for my action, your majesty." I said. 

      "No, dear, you have suffered enough already and I understand. But if I could ask again, if that is alright... how about now? Did you fall in love with a guy this year?" As I wipe my tears, I laughed at the Queen's question and said, "Uhm, I apologize for the laugh but to answer your question, I stop looking for a man for a long. It's just I don't want to, but if I do, I will just hurt them and I don't want them to suffer as I did for the longest time in my life." The Queen then looks into my eyes then said, "Are you sure about that? Because while looking at your eyes I saw someone you care for." I smiled at what the Queen said and finish the night.  

     After the long day, I experience last night, the Queen asked me to stay and prepared a bed for me. At first, I decline, but she insisted I stay and told me that they are still taking down the live video that Michael cause about my identity. I don't know what the people saw but I need to make sure that he did not share my secret. The next day, I look out the window and saw a dove outside, I get up in the bed and open the window, I pet the dove in the hand, not realizing that it would stay.

       While looking outside, I saw a familiar guy, he is walking downstairs with the young guard who save me. So, I immediately get dressed and find the Queen, I found her in her office, "Good morning, your majesty" the Queen said. I exhale and said, "Please your highness, I am not a Queen anymore but you are, you can just call me by my real name, Ysha, and that would be fine." Then the Queen smiled and said, "Alright, then Ysha dear, what can I do for you?" I look at the Queen and said, "Right, well your highness did you somehow know Arthur King?"
