"Professor! Professor!"
"No, I do not have a date to the ball" you groaned out from under your arm as you lay your head on the table at breakfast on a Tuesday morning. "Go away."
The Yule Ball was this Friday evening, meaning the castle was undergoing heavy decorating and cleaning.
"Come on Professor" the twins sighed.
"You two are the bane of my existence" you grumbled.
"Professor, you can't go alone."
"I can and I will, and I'll do it in style. I honestly don't know why your so invested in my love life."
"The non-existent one, may I add" Snape smirked from his place at the table.
"Piss off Severus, you're almost as greasy as Loki."
"Rude" Loki commented as he walked in, pulling out a chair beside you and sitting down.
"I have no motivation to teach today" you complained, slumping into the God's side. "I'm too tired."
A group of seventh year students had snuck out last night to hang out at the lake and thrown their stolen sweet wrappers in the water, annoying the giant squid and the mermaids.
After about an hour rescuing the two who got grabbed and thrown onto the lake by the squid, you had to spend a very long time apologising for their behaviour to the merpeople.
By the time you got to bed, it was well into today.
"Teaching is a privilege, treat it as one" Umbridge scolded from further away.
"Go away you old bat, you're only here for the ball" you grumbled in annoyance as Loki wrapped an arm around your waist, you leaning your head on his shoulder.
"Excuse you! What is wrong with you?!"
"Would you like me to list them alphabetically or in descending order of importance?"
The pink wrapped witch huffed in annoyance as Snape's smirk widened, McGonagall trying to hide her grin.
"I can take over for today my darling" Loki whispered to you, putting a plate of food in front of you. "You can sit in the corner and zone out if you'd like."
"Thanks Lokes" you mumbled tiredly, kissing his cheek and accepting the food. "You're the best."
"I know" he grinned, earning an elbow in the side.
"Why don't you two go together to the ball?" Fred suggested, waggling his eyebrows.
"Zip it Weasley before I cut your tongue out."
"Y/n, what have we said about threatening the students?" McGonagall sighed.
You shrugged as Loki laughed quietly, Minerva shaking her head in slight amusement.
"But seriously, why aren't you two going together?" George quizzed. "You're always around each other-"
He wa suddenly shut up by you kicking his shin under the table, the boy hopping away complaining.
"Y/n!"
"What? It was an accident" you insisted, grinning.

"Good morning little ones, how are you all?" Loki smiled, walking up to the front of the room as the first years chatted excitedly.
"Hey darlings" you sighed, waving at them all tiredly as you trudged along behind the God, teleporting over to the squishy armchair that Loki put there earlier in the year.
"Are you okay Professor?" Colin asked curiously as flopped into the comfy leather, conjuring multiple blankets before snuggling in.
"Tired, that's all."
"Professor Y/n was up until extremely early this morning dealing with an incident, so I'll be running this lesson" Loki began to the class. "So please don't bother her, she'll probably fall asleep."
"I won't fall asleep" you commented from underneath your blanket.
*Ten Minutes Later*
Clara raised her hand timidly, Loki crouching down beside her desk to help.
"Um, Professor Loki, I think Professor Y/n fell asleep" she whispered, pointing over at you in the corner.
Loki smirked. "Ah, thank you dear, indeed she has. Should we draw a moustache on her as some mortals do for fun?"
The girl giggled, nodding her head as the God conjured a permanent marker and walked towards you.
The students giggled excitedly as he leant down, carefully drawing a curly moustache on your face.
"Don't tell her if she wakes up" he whispered to the children, holding a finger to his lips as they tried to keep their laughter quiet.
At the end of the lesson the students all filed out, Loki waving goodbye to them with a small smile on his lips.
Just as he was cleaning the blackboard, a figure appeared in the room behind him.
"Hello dear."
"Mother?" Loki questioned, turning around in surprise to his Mother smiling over at him. "What are you doing here?"
"Am I not allowed to come and visit my son?" She smiled, hugging him tightly. "How are you going here?"
"It's alright" he shrugged, glancing over at your sleeping figure.
Frigga looked over at you, a knowing smile creeping onto her face. "Is that her?"
"I didn't even say anything!"
"A Mother always knows" she replied, reaching up to pat his cheek. "Now, is that her?"
"Maybe" Loki mumbled, his cheeks heating slightly as Frigga beamed. "She had to deal with a group of students until very early this morning so I told her I could take over the lesson and she feel asleep."
"Can I meet her when she wakes up?" The Asgardian Queen begged her son as took your bag, placing the strap over his shoulder.
"If you would like" he answered, gently picking you up out of the chair and held you carefully before teleporting up to his room.
Frigga appeared behind him as he pulled back his covers, placing you safely on the bed before pulling them up over you and closing the curtains.
"Are you courting her?" Frigga asked quietly, watching as the God placed your bag down.
"No Mother, we are friends."
"As the mortals say, that is bullshit" she announced. "Thor taught me that."
"Of course he did" he chuckled, shaking his head.
"Get your act together and ask her" she demanded. "I heard the students talking about the ball this Friday, ask her or there will be punishment."
"Rude."
