"Tell me before your Mother breaks through the window and strangles you."

The God looked up to see Frigga peering through the window, her eyes widening in surprise before she disappeared in a flash of gold.

"On the same topic of telling each other things, why did your boggart turn into me?" He questioned, folding his arms and leaning back in his chair. "Boggarts turn into what you fear most."

"I'm not afraid of you Loki."

"Then why?" He answered, his voice verging on anger. "Why did the boggart turn into me?"

"What happened to answering my question?"

"I feel mine is more pressing."

The two of you stared at each other, both too stubborn to back down.

"I'd like to know the answer to my question, as that will decide whether I should answer yours" he said finally, his tone more gentle than before. "I'm used to people mistrusting me, being afraid of what I am. But not you. Nothing frightens you and I'd hate to be the first thing that does."

You sighed, settling back onto the pillow stack behind you. "I'm being honest when I say I'm not afraid of you."

Loki stayed silent, watching you carefully.

"When I was joking about boggarts, saying "How do I make a fear of commitment funny?", I wasn't really joking. I do have a genuine fear of commitment because people have left me behind before and I didn't have time to think of how to make the boggart funny."

"But what does that have to do with me?"

You were silent for a moment before taking a deep breath. "Because... I wanted to stay with you. Beyond the friendship we have and I was scared of that."

"And are you afraid now?" He asked quietly, leaning towards you.

"I don't know."

"And what exactly is it you're afraid of?"

"Rejection" you whispered, your faces centimetres away from each other. "Being alone."

"You don't have to worry about that."

Softly, his lips met yours, his hand coming up to cup your cheek.

Eventually you both broke away, a small smile on Loki's face.

"You don't have to be by yourself my darling" he murmured. "Not if you don't want to be."

"I don't want to be."

"I was hoping you would say that."

"You still need to answer my question greasy" you grinned as he ran his fingers through your hair.

"I am not greasy love."

"No need to lie to yourself Lokes."

"Why do I talk to you."

"I ask myself that everyday I'm around you. Now answer the question mister."

The God rolled his eyes. "Take a guess."

"That you're actually a garden gnome in disguise."

"No."

"You have a secret hobby of throwing radishes at people."

"That sounds like something you would do."

"Fair point, now tell me before I throw a radish at you."

"He's obviously going to tell you he's in love with you!" A pair of voices burst out, the Weasley twins rolling out from under the bed.

"Yes but you beat me to it" Loki mused as they stood up, giving a bow.

"Now I feel bad about telling you that I actually hate you" you grinned, the God rolling his eyes with a chuckle.

A moment later Frigga dashed into the room, followed closely by an excited Mcgonagall, Snape, Ginny and the Golden trio.

"Do we need the whole bloody planet in here?" Loki sighed as his Mother began kissing his cheek before moving over to do the same to you, rambling about how happy she was. "I could kick you all out."

"Fine by me" Snape shrugged, a small smile on his face. "At least you two finally opened your eyes and I don't have to deal with N/n sulking to me about how lonely she is."

"Gee thanks Sev, no need to throw me under the bus" you grumbled as Loki grinned. "There are way too many people in here."

Loki grabbed your wrist and sent a flicker of magic down your arm, stoping you from teleporting away. "You need to stay here and rest love, you're injured."

"You can't stop me magic man."

"Try me."

You rolled your eyes with a slight laugh as he kissed your temple, Frigga still babbling in excitement.

"Mother I will seal your mouth shut" Loki teased, the woman laughing.

"I'm sorry dear, I'm just so happy!" She answered, hugging the two of you. "You finally figured it out."

"Took long enough" the twins chorused, grumbling when you threw a radish at them.

"Knew it" Loki smirked.
