Manik's pov
If I asked you to think about parents, you would have this beautiful smile on your face thinking about all the amazing trips, vacations and other things you did with your parents. However if I was asked to think about my parents id laugh in your face and then fuck up your life.
It's almost like i live in this black and white world with no colours absolutely none whatsoever. Every time I even touch colour it think I snatch the colour away. Every single day I wake up with the hope that maybe today will be better, maybe today things will fall into place but nope
"Manik come downstairs now" I heard my dad's voice
Taking my bag and keys I walked downstairs dreading every second.
"Morning" I mummbled
"WHAT DID YOU JSUT SAY" his voice rose higher and became stern
"Good morning sir"
"KEEP IN YOUR LIMITS" he said and I nodded
"Sorry about that"
"When are your midterms" he asked
"They start in about 2 months, the school year just began"
"You better do amazing Manik or you know what consequences are going to be there"
"I understand sir"
"Now got the fuck out" he said and I nodded walking outside
I got in my car and took several deep breaths trying not to break something and it worked for a good 5 second until I smashed my hand on the steering wheel
"Fuck, why why why the fuck ahhh" I was losing my mind
My phone started ringing and I knew it was my best friend, he calls around the same time every day because he knows how my day begins
"Hello"
"Manik can you pick me up" he said
"Dude you do this every day, im fine"
"You aren't so get to the point, are you gonna come or should is start walking to you" he said and I sighed
"Ill be there" I said and he cut the call
Honestly if it was anyone else I would have blocked them but cabir is special, he has been with me since I was a child. Its so stupid that he calls me to pick him up everyday even though he lives two houses down
As soon as I get to his house he runs out with his bag in his hands and is down breathing heavy, I chuckle at his behaviour and start driving again
"What did you break today" he asked
"Nothing"
"Manik"
"I hit the steering wheel" he laughed hearing this
"Dude seriously you are laughing"
"Ya so, it's hilarious. i should get you a huge teddy bear that you can punch without getting hurt"
"Shut up cabir"
"Make me janeman" he said grabbing my arm
"Disgusting, get away from me" I said and he started laughing like a maniac
"Shut up idiot"
"Manik mera janeman, mera Bhai, mera boyfriend"
"Cabirrr" he laughed making em laugh as well
"Salai itni pyari smile di hai Bhagwan nai, smile more" he said
"There are not many if any reasons to smile cabir"
"Woh hai na"
"Woh koi" I asked as we got out of the car walking in the college
"Wohi"
"Kon"
"Nandini"
"Not her man, seriously"
So the things is Nandini is the new girl, she joined the college yesterday and lives right next to me how ironic right. But apparently cabir likes her a lot and thinks I smile looking at her because I was looking out my window yesterday and her room is like right there but she just pisses me off.
"No dude she is so cute"
"No she isn't she is a, what the fuck" I yelled as someone bumped into me making me drop my bag
Turning around I saw Nandini on the ground rubbing her elbows and her knees.
"Sorry umm I was running and you know na I never look around. you are anyways like a huge wall so I was not paying attention so I am sorry. I will get you a little something okay to make up for it, I know I know im stupid and you are probably like holly Nandini is a weirdo, she is so new and crazy but like you know"
"Shut up Nandini, shut the fuck up" I yelled and she put her head down walking to cabir
"Why is he always yelling at me" she asked him
"Well sweetie, not always, you just met him yesterday remember"
"Yes but you know we are friends well you and I are right, shit are we friends cabir?" She rambled
"Yes we are friends, even best friends" cabir said
"Then help me na, is lambu ko Bol do im nice" she said pouting making me glare at her
"Shut up" I said and she leaned up and kissed cabir's cheek
"Tame this monster" she whispered
"I can hear you" I said and she bit her top lip looking at me
"Monster Manik" she said picking up her bag from the ground along with my bag
"Gussa mat kia karo, ayiapa will give you all the happiness in the world" she said handing me my bag and walking away
A girl who doesn't know me, a girl who is meeting me for the second time, first being when she sat next to yesterday since we are partners in biology, but a girl who knows nothing about me just told me god will give me happiness, she is so weird
"She is something" cabir siad
"Ya she is fucking annoying" I said
"Admit it, she challenges you in different ways"
"She does not, people challenge me when I let them, she is no one to me to be challenging me and stop trying to fucking play cupid" I said walking to class while he followed
"Im not playing cupid bro, all im saying is that you need to open up to people"
"I am open to you"
"Manik" he warned
"Fine I am also open to umm alia and Mukti and druv"
"Are you?"
"Yes"
"When was the last time you guys talked" he asked
"A few days ago"
"You idiot that was because you wanted to jam not becasue you wanted to hang out"
"Shut up" I said knowing he is proving me wrong again
I just don't think I need anyone except cabir. He is the only one who has been so nice and supportive to me so why would I be friends with more people, I don't need anyone in my messy life.
"Manik"
"No I don't wanna hear it from you" I said sitting down in ou chemistry class
Thankfully cabir and I had all of the same classes so I didn't need to sit beside anyone.
