Chapter 19

We watched the movie, then had some fried rice but manik was still sleeping so I didn't wake him up. We finished eating and it was 5 in the evening so I decided it was a good time to wake up manik who was still snoring in my neck.

"Nandini wake him up na, im getting bored" cabir said

"You do it" I said and he grinned like a child

"With pleasure" he said

"Hey no irritating him" I said and he nodded getting up and sitting beside manik on the edge

"Manik wake up" he said shaking him

"Hey careful" I said and he grinned

"Manik ugh na, wake up. Wake up princess" he said and manik groaned

"Mat kar na" manik mummbled in my neck

"It's time to wake up, it's been a while" I said caressing his hair

"It hurts" he whispered

"What does" I asked

"My head"

"You slept too much maybe that's why" he nodded

"Come on dude, get up. I wanna go play"

"Play what" manik asked turning to lay on his back

"Fifa"

"Oh yess wait but my xbox is at home"

"It's cool, ill grab it, do you need anything else" cabir asked

"Mumma's photo" he said looking down

"Got it, but where is it"

"Store room" manik said

"How about you and navya make a plan on what to do next and I mean like in the evening and cabir and I will go grab some of your things" I asked and he shook his head

"No, you can't go in there"

"Manik"

"No Nandini im not having this argument or discussion with you"

"Okay if your dad is there I won't go inside I promise"

"No"

"Manik, it will be easier to grab more stuff if I go with him please, I promise I will not go in if he is anywhere near"

"Promise" he asked and I nodded

"Cabir take care of her" he said and cabir nodded

I kissed manik's head and cabir and I went to his house, thankfully his dad was not there. We grabbed a lot of manik's stuff and then his mom's frame as well. It made me sad that he had kept her frame in the storage room but im sure he had his reasons.

We got back home to see navya and Manik glaring at each other. Cabir chuckled seeing this while I smiled

"Nandini, we wil watch this right" Manik asked as soon as he saw me

"Yes we will" I said and navya smiled a little but hid it so I knew she was distracting him

"No this one" navya said

"We will watch both but first manik's choice" I said and a smile came across his face

"Fine" navya said acting like she is giving up

"Yesssss" Manik said making me smile

"Ice cream anyone" cabir asked

"Yuppppp" manik and Navya said at the same exact time

We drove to the ice cream parlour by the beach and cabir and navya went to get us ice cream while manik and I sat on the edge of the waterline watching the sunsetting.

"You are my peace nandini" he said out of nowhere making me look at him

"I had been searching everywhere for this peace and had given up at one point but then you walked in my life and here we are. I sometimes think my mom saw how close I was to just letting go of everything and she sent you in my life"

"Im so glad she did because you are my calm manik, you represent that part of my life that means the most to me"

"I know I have asked you this a lot but umm will you stay with me forever" he asked looking at me

"I will, you are the person I run back to if I ever got lost. You are gonna be my forever until my heart beats and if there is a life after that then I want you to be my forever there and everywhere else. We don't know much about each other but we know the part that other don't so yes I will stay with you forever and you are stuck with me manik, stuck for life" he smiled hearing this

"Id be happy to be stuck with you" he said kissing my head

"Get well soon, I can't see you like this" I said caressing his arm

"Hey I am still handsome" he said

"Boy you are eternally handsome but these scars and bruises"

"They add an edge" he said

"Right mr gangster" he laughed hearing me

"I want you to be healthy and these bruises hurt me because I know you are hurting, it has nothing to do with your appearance" he gave me sad smile

"They look bad I know, don't be embarrassed to be with me, they will go away I promise" he said

I grabbed onto his arms caressing the inside of his arm softly

"Look at me silly" he turned his head to me and I rested my chin on his shoulder

"I am not embarrassed to be with you and these scars show me that you have came a long way. You fought through all the injustice and abuse, you made it out manik. You know how we all look at the moon and find it beautiful" I asked and he nodded

"It's so pretty" he added

"Exactly and if you look at it up close, the moon has many scars but that doesn't dull it's charm and beauty. I have scars and strechmarks but im not embarrassed of them because they are a part of my journey. Sure I might be insecure about them but if they weren't there you wouldn't know my journey. The same way if I didn't see your scars I wouldn't know your journey so don't ever say I am embarrassed to be with you. I am with you for your heart, for your personality and this appearance of a hot handsome greek god with a sex appeal is just a bonus you know" I said and he giggled hearing me

"You are so cute babe" he said kissing my nose

"Thank you my lord" I said kissing his shoulder

"Ahh I am so glad I met you"

"Oh aren't you a lucky man" I teased

"Lucky indeed" he said with a smile

"Ice cream love birds" cabir said handing us both an ice cream

Manik fronwned when he looked at his cup because there was only a couple scoops which I had specifically asked cabir to do

"Don't frown, you aren't supposed to be having this junk food but I made an exception so eat up" he frowned but devoured his ice cream

"You eat like a kid" he said rubbing the corner of my lips with his thumb and licking it off making me blush

I know I turned into a god damn tomato because manik smirked, im so glad no one siad anything about it because honestly I would have killed them if they even mentioned me blushing

We got back home and navya and I made some dal chawal while the Boys played games. They had set up their gaming stuff in the room beside manik and I's yeah its our room now
