Ghost King and Batfam

Pt.7

Jason's Pov

As I was entering the Batcave I saw Tim looking at the screen with big eyebags that did not look healthy and what looks like a cold cup of coffee, gross. "Oi, where's the bats?" Tim looked up at me for a second then went back to his file or whatever and said "Yea he's in his office" Time replied then as an after thought said "why?" I sighed in annoyance "because I saw the kid that ran away the other night and he was fine, so now batsy can get off my ass about the whole thing" I said, there was no point in hiding it Tim would hear of it anyways "although I been I'll still get lectured on making sure that the victim is 'ok' incase of any unseen injuring ot some shit like that" I sigh, I can never just get a 'well done' although I don't thing he's ever said that to any of us.

Walking into Bruce's office wasn't that bad I just had to sike myself up for the inevitable lecture I was about to endure. I knocked on the door before walking in, typically I wouldn't knock I would just enter but where experienced times where batarangs were thrown at us so we knock before entering Bruce's office now, don't wanna have to deal with more injuries than necessary. "Come in" came the gruff voice of Bruce, entering he lifted his head up and I just barley saw his eyes narrow just a miniscule of a fraction, "the kid that ran away the other night, yea uhm I saw him just today and he was fine so the toxin didn't touch him." I said in a voice that sounded like I was just popping in to maybe escape the lecture. Turning towards the door I was almost there when, "good, this time we were lucky alright but that was all it was luck." Bruce remarked, shit I was getting the lecture, almost I was so close. "Next time there wont be such luck, so remember to always take into account of the victim and keep your eye on them if they get away because the ran in fear you will lose evidence and maybe even information." I nodded because I wasn't stupid I knew that any vigilante, killing criminals or not know to make sure the victims were ok, either asking or just looking there way. But I made a simple mistake by putting my top priority on stopping the criminals and let the innocent person run because that were scared or just plan smart and didn't get involved, but of course Bruce couldn't just have the opinion of it was a mistake no he had to interpret the situation in a way that made me seem ignorant of innocent people. Ugh I wish I could say this but it would just be too much and Bruce would definitely counter it to make me look even worse a person so I just didn't bother and instead just nodded along so I could leave sooner and get back to my own apartment.

Ok so the lecture didn't last just as long as I would have thought, but it was still exhausting. Well anyways on my way home I was replaying what the kid had done the in the convenience store last night. He looked really hungry plus also the fact the he did just steal some random chips that mind you didn't seem like he looked at so he just did a lucky dip of the chips, obviously  he didn't too much money also by the looks of his skin it looked just too pale and thin and of course the paleness could be chucked up as just not enough sun time in Gotham which was the case for basically everyone. Like I don't really care about what's going on in his life but I guess I'm only really thinking about him because he could've been touched by a new toxin and Bruce was making a big deal out of it, but still he clearly doesn't have good money or maybe his parents are just super douche bags which wouldn't be surprising or he could be just living on the streets so hopefully that the in counter he had with those thugs made him rethink walking at night and he stays where ever he is sleeping. Basically I just don't really want to have another problem to deal with.

Nico's Pov

Alright so at the start this office was real bad but now it's honestly not that bad, like compared to some other places I've slept the mold and smell isn't all too bad. The major problem would have to be my food source and also the fact that I gotta get in contact with some villains because I have been hearing a lot of things needed done whenever I've traveled through the shadow (Can we please just pretend that the shadow do inform Nico of stuff going on as a sort of way to annoy him at the is point, and sometimes they can be helpful like for this instance), there are though a few where I am I bit caution of the people and what they want but that can wait for another time.

-Time Skip-

I appear in a more run down warehouse than Penguins, and hear voices in a far away room. I sneak up to the room and ready myself to introduce myself to Fish Mooney, I had heard that a drug deal that they were dealing with is trying to scam them out of their money and Money was trying to find away to show them that they can't mess with her but first she needed info on them and how to get the jump on them. So here I was about to get my next job, and hopefully Penguin had past around that the Ghost King is a good partner to have if not then I will be paying him a visit and not for the reason he will think.

I made sure they mt mask was on because it is kind of hard to tell if a shadow is covering my face but anyways, I stepped into the room and it goes quite in seconds before I hear the continuous sounds of guns loading and being ready to fire. "Oh sorry am I interrupting something here?" I say an amused tone then Mooney speaks up "Who are you and how did you get in" I walked in a bit more but more gun just rose ready to be fire so I stopped and stilled before replying "Well Mooney I am the Ghost King I'm assuming Penguin spread the word I mean if he didn't I will be needing to have a talk we with" I see the recognition show on a few of the higher henchmen and Mooney herself. "Yeah, yeah he mentioned you spoke a whole lot about how quickly you got him his info almost made you sound like one of his new way to get money" honestly I laughed at that could you imagine me working for Penguin "Haha no, I don't work under anyone but the gods, anyway I hear you need a way to show a drug deal that you can't be crossed" I say in a mater of fact kind of way. "You sound a bit young you sure you can really pull off getting me information" of course the infamous age card, "Yes, I can guarantee that I will get the information that you need" if Mooney could see my eyes she would see just how bad my glare at her is but maybe she can already sense it due tot eh shadows moving around making some of the henchmen shuffle around uncomfortably. "Fine get me the information I need in two day or less or else you will have missed the deal" she's trying to test me I can tell I would so that too, "Sure, I'll see you soon" I say confidently just to spite her even if it is just a little. I'll show her how fast I can information.

Batman's Pov

I've been hearing of this new 'person' going around, well only really one case of this by Penguin going around telling all his allies of the 'person' calling themselves 'Ghost King'. I don't if they are an enemy I haven't seen any crime being done by them so far, so I should probably inform the rest of the boys about this new person and to watch out for any new criminal that might look like they would themselves Ghost King.

I can't take the risk of blindly ignoring this new villain or hero. But hero doesn't sound likely as they were helping Penguin, I just don't know enough yet to determine if I will need to add them to my list of villains. But if they are a new 'hero' I will have a lot of questions for why they think it's ok to be operating in my city, because I'm pretty sure I've made it abundantly clear to anyone I do not allow anyone I don't trust to come into this city. It is just too dangerous for any other hero to be working here, and I bet this person doesn't even fully understand the dangers of working here, but this will all be solved soon, hopefully sooner than later though.

Informing the boys went well, although I doubt I'll be able to avoid all the questions they will throw at me about this new potential threat. And I bet Tim will try and get a lead on who they are because he seems to be spending some more time finding things to do which is way better then just having him huddled up on the bat-computer but it is just a bit weird to be seeing, I just wished he could focus on his work in parts and I know it's a bit hypocritical to say but I take breaks when Alfred asks, so that's something a least. Oh well I'm just glad that he's leaving his room, no matter how frequently.
