Nicos Pov

Talking to Penguin was to say difficult. He kept asking questions like "Why are you doing this," or "Who do you work for and what do you want," so basically the boring questions for people like mw that don't really have an alternative motive accept for money. After a while of just nonsense questions to me, I mean I can definitely see why Penguin is questioning me so much I mean who would really trust the word of a 13 yr old who broke into their warehouse and listened to plans for a deal. Penguin decided he would take this gamble as how what bad could happen from staying away from supposed land mines.

-Time Skip-

Well after the deal was done and to the Jokers dismay none of Penguins men died Nico arrived back at the Penguins warehouse where he got his reward and the promise that Penguin would spread the word that Nico was in need of another job. Penguin also said he would find me if he had another job needed to be done.

"Oh don't worry bout that, I'll know when you have another job ready" I stated as I went towards the door and closed it, vanishing from the view of anyone who went out to see which way I had gone.

Penguins Pov

I was surprised by that exit but I  knew that this self proclaimed 'Ghost King' (as far as he knows that is) would turn up for the job or with the information needed, because by the display of urgency seen by this kid when he was reaching for the money I knew he would be returning for some more well earned cash. Plus it's always good to have someone that will show up when there are needed. And I mean the kid doesn't seem like he'll ask for an outrageous reward, which is great and even if the kid doesn't show up I always have other ways of getting my way, no matter who I am facing 'well maybe sometimes does depend on the person, but that's besides the point right now' I think to my self.

Nicos Pov

I appeared right in an ally next to McDonald's, which is good because gods am I hungry. All this shadow travelling, interrogating and spy is way more exhausting. I wonder how Luke kept up with all the spying I mean I'm exhausted and I was doing for just a couple days.

 Well I guess if I'm gonna keep this gig up I need to get used to how tiring this job is, which is a plus because more excuses for getting McDonald's. But that can wait for another time right now it's McDonald's time.

While I was waiting for my food the place was actually really busy so I went to the bathroom as my food wasn't going to be ready any time soon judging by all the annoyed looks of the costumers, and angry yelling about wondering what's taking so long that was the biggest clue. But just as I was washing my hands I heard someone yelling my name behind, and I could tell instantly I was going to hear an ear full from my cousin, just great.

"Nico, Nico!" I heard the one and only Percy Jackson much louder than was needed. "Nico I know you can hear my turn around, you have some major explaining to do." All I could do was sigh because I knew no matter how I answered Percy he would either come and get me, talk me out of leaving camp, or he would always check up on me which would become annoying very fucking fast 'Well that is if I tell him where I am,' I think to my self as I turn prepare my self for this talk. "What do you want Percy?" I tried to act as though I thing was wrong so he would lessen his inevitable speech, I mean it did work sometimes so why wouldn't it work now. "What, what do I want. I want to know why out of the blue you leave camp right as we win a huge war without a single word?!?" I did kinda felt bad cause he actually sounded worried which I don't get because he knows full well I can take care of myself, but I guess this is different from other times I left camp, because those times I had reasons, this time I really did have no reason to leave, but still I didn't really want to tell Percy why I left because he would for sure be mad at me for blindly trusting Hades. Percy never really did have a great relationship with my dad but then again he never had any good relationship with many other good than either I guess.

"Uhh, I don't know I guess I wanted a change of pace, I guess I thought it might just be a bit more peaceful away from camp." I tried to explain to Percy so he would be too mad and think I was doing this for the better of my self, but of course he had to bring up a flaw in my explanation. "So you thought leaving camp and being a free target for monsters would be more peaceful?" He asked incredulously. "Um well I guess I'm just in a reduced monster activity area?" I said in an almost question, man I really didn't think anyone would iris message me any time soon so I didn't really think about how I would answer some questions, also I was also really focused on finding a good paying job which I found in which I bet is demigod record time. "Really? And where exactly is this reduced monster activity area because I think I would love a place like that, I mean I bet I've earned to stay in place like that, don't you think?" Ugh Percy knew exactly what he was doing and so did I he though he was so slick, but I know better than to go and tell him especially since Percy would probably lose shit if he knew where I was living well trying to live in, so I did the next best thing I could do. I cut the connection and dashed out of the bathroom just in time for my number to be called. I rushed up to the worker and grabbed my food and ran out the door in case Percy had regained his composure after that abrupt disconnection and I did not want to explain to mortals why a floating water imagine was calling my name (not really sure if mortals can see iris messages or not but let's say they can).

Ok sorry for the long wait on this update but I will be updating a lot slower due to school and exams and assignments already been started. Plus some of my subjects have like two different pieces of assessments which I find so unfair but besides that I also get tried a lot after school cause I gotta listen to a lot of shit from my classes and friends. Like my classes are always so loud every lesson is just a shouting match against the teacher, so it's really tiring especially which I don't sleep in till like 12 but that's just me doing to my self so who else can I blame. But yea sorry for not updating in a long time I did start writing and then just stopped so sorry but I will try to write more during the weekends but I do need to focus on school so please be patient the update will come. Might update at least twice or three times a month so that's something. Any way hope you enjoyed this update. :)
