Ghost King and Batfam

Pt. 2

3rd person Pov

Nico landed in what he assumed to be an ally way as when he turned around he could see the bustling of people trying to get to their destination quickly. Nico only hoped to find a sign or store that could tell him where he his, preferably in a city that speaks English or Italian, cause theirs nothing worse then trying to figure out what a sign says that is in a language you don't know and having dyslexia doesn't help. 

Nico walked out of the ally way and got a few stares and glances from the people around him who bothered to care, wondering what he was doing in a dark ally during the day. But none asked of course they were too busy with their own problems to care enough for what he was really doing, and for that Nico was thankful.

He walked to the edge of the pathway looking out at all the signs, shops and billboards near him to see if one of them would offer him closure about where he was. 

Nico did notice that the street signs were in English so he was at least relieved by that, but soon Nico saw what he thought looked like a newspaper stand and decided that, that would probably be his best bet to finding out which city he was in.

Looking at the newspapers at the stand Nico tried looking for a news clipping or a front line heading because those were most likely to have the cities name in it. While scanning the papers Nico spotted a heading telling about some kind of catastrophe in the city by looking at the picture shown below the heading.

 Nico was standing at the stand for so long trying to figure out if the heading had the cities name, that when he finally did see the name of this city the stand operator was trying to get him away as it seemed like he was about to rob the stand owner. 

Once Nico was far enough away from the stand he started to realise that maybe this was not the city he wanted to be in, and that city would be Gotham. He was in Gotham city.

Oh how Nico could kick himself for shadow travelling himself to this death ridden city. I mean he was only following what his farther had told him. Nico did thought doubt his father Hades really meant he needed  a new start in Gotham city of all places. Was this really the new start that he needs and is this really going to be better then staying at camp? Nico didn't know, but he did know that he wasn't going to disappoint his father and go back to camp just yet, Nico also knew that he wasn't going to anger the fates by leaving the city that they had placed him in, the gods only knew what would happen if you crossed the fates. Nico would at least stay for a bit and live a life until he decided if he wanted to go back to camp or just simply go somewhere where he could feel free, and who know maybe Gotham is that place.

Nico's next move was to try and actually survive this city for as long as he could, and try out his new life. A life that didn't seem to be as peaceful as he had hoped but how peaceful can you really get when gods and monsters are always there to burden you.
