Daniel lay in the medical bed, he had been getting some rest but soon he wanted to go out again and help out the others. He silently hoped they wouldn't be staying here for long because it felt as if everything was being done for them. The Aussie pushed back his dark hair, heaving a sigh as he eyes flickered around the room. He pushed himself up into a sitting position; he looked around for his helmet and gloves. He was still in his racing suit despite it being stained in blood. The man stood up, feeling a little dizzy momentarily but being fine after a couple of seconds. He looked around, noticing he no longer had his gun and began rummaging around for it. He furrowed his brows, he looked around other people's beds and found it. Someone clearly took it without asking. He grumbled as he placed it in his holster again. Sneaking out of the medical room, he noticed the shelter was half empty but he spotted Max and ran up to him, pulling him into a big hug.
"Woah, what was that for?" The Dutchman laughed.
"I don't know." Daniel shrugged, a smile on his face.
"Man it is nice to have you back, you choked Seb once." Max said without thinking.
"Oh. I should probably apologise to him. Where is he?" The Australian questioned.
"He is patrolling with some of the others, Mick, Charles and him are out. It is just me, you and Pierre. OH, and Christian. We found him." Max added. It was a lot of information for Daniel to process but he nodded slowly.
"Okaaaay... so, what do you do here? Just sit around? Isn't it a bit boring?" Daniel murmured.
"Yeah but Seb said we will be leaving once you recovered properly so don't worry. We'll be gone in no time." Max grinned, patting his friend on the back.
Meanwhile with Seb, Charles and Mick, their patrol had turned into a search and rescue after a building collapsed with was said to have survivors in it. Charles put a headband on his head and a flashlight attached to it, he wasn't sure what they were called but he knew it would help then out.
"Okay, Charles and Sebastian you two go in from the West, where the building collapsed first. There may be more obstacles that way so you will need to stick together. Mick, you go from the back of the building. I will go North and [REDACTED] will go East." One of the leader's of the shelter ordered as they split up.
Mick found this building really eerie, and he hated being alone too. It was one of his worst fears but he hadn't said anything since he didn't want to make the mission complicated. It was dark and had a creepy aura as he entered. Everything looked scattered and the sight of a crushed body greeted him. He tapped on his wrist to count one dead. He would do that every time someone had passed, he found it easier to keep count. Looking around, he searched for any safe spots. He tapped his wrist another two times as he looked to the right to see a dead child and mother. It made him tear up but all he could do was continue on. He felt anxious, everything was so quiet and he just knew something bad was bound to happen with them in a collapsed building. It wasn't safe.
