A Discovery

Mick fastened his helmet on his head, his blue eyes narrowed as the sun began to gleam. He looked to Milka, who had a harness on but didn't need a lead as she just followed him around. The harness was a form of protection. The German had shoved loads of dog food in the bag and put a bowl in there too. It wouldn't be that difficult to find water, they could break into shops and houses too. It wasn't like there was any rules in this area, it was invested by brain eating creatures who had been reanimated for the dead. He kept his gaze forwards, trying not to think about what could happen to them. He took a deep breath and picked up Milka to save her energy, continuing on as he walked beside Seb.

Seb wasn't too sure where they were actually going to go... they would have to find somewhere. In all the games and movies, the characters were already 10 years into the apocalypse. It never showed how it started or what their goal was after that. His lower lip trembled slightly as they walked on down the road. The screams of people still echoed in his mind, he bit that same quivering lip. They wouldn't make it anywhere if they were scared. He didn't want to worry any of the others either. They stopped at a small corner shop down the road and went inside. It was dead silent and dead bodies scattered across the floor. It looked like somebody had already been here before. Daniel walked forward, pressing a finger on the blood and sniffing it, he turned to Milka and let her sniff it.

"Put the dog down, she is a hound dog, she'll find it." Daniel murmured as Mick placed the beagle on the ground. She began sniffing until she reached the freezer. The Australian slowly began to twist the door knob, everyone else watched silently, waiting for something or someone to jump out like in a horror film. But as he opened it, a dead body thumped to the floor. It was Toto's body, smeared in his own fresh blood that run out of his eyes. Charles turned around and threw up at the sight of it. Carlos covered Lando's eyes and Max moved Mick to look away. Pierre, Daniel and Seb stared at it. The Aussie's gaze was fixated on it as he bent down and searched the body for the wounds. There were no bite marks, this hadn't been done by a zombie. He furrowed his brows, of course some criminals or murderers would use this as a chance to kill freely. This made him slightly more paranoid. There was a knife wound to the throat, it had been slit open and blood still seeped out of it. Whoever had done this, had only left just before they arrived. His eyes had been gouged out, making Daniel feel sickened to the stomach. And his chest had a knife jammed in it. What a poor death for Toto. This meant the two Mercedes drivers and the team principal were dead. How unfortunate.
