Mick had found a harness and collar for the dog at a pet stop which had been abandoned in the rush to get out of the area. The speaker in the shop played music, he felt like he was in a video game or horror movie. He hummed along to a distorted sounding version of Kiss from a Rose. He put the dog down on the ground and she willingly followed him, he scratched her by the ear as they made their way back to the shelter. Mick had separated from the rest of the group just so that he could get some stuff for the beagle. He knew that hound dogs were great at tracking but also could be quite loud and alert. The German took his helmet off, taking a deep breath as he entered the shelter through the back door. When he sat down, he began thinking about what to call the dog. He furrowed his brows. He decided to call her Milka as she had a mainly brown torso and milka was a German chocolate. Milka placed her front paws on Mick's lap and began licking his face. A smile sat on his face as he ruffled her fur.
Seb watched Mick from afar, he would be looking after the man. He glanced to Daniel who was medically cleared now. Soon they would bid their goodbyes to the staff and people here and continue their journey. Although they weren't sure where they were going to go, it would be an adventure and teach them some life skills. Plus if the entire of England wasn't affected and they made it out then perhaps they could restart their racing lives. He approached the Australian and began to tell him that they would be leaving now, so collect supplies (for example first aid kits, food, water, rations, weapons, e.t.c) and stuff them in a backpack or something. He wasn't one for stealing but it would help them out a lot, and these guys seemed like they had everything under control. Daniel nodded and hurried off with a large backpack.
Max crossed his arms as he watched his friend go and take things from shelves and the kitchen. He frowned and looked to Charles, who had a content look on his face. Pierre clicked his fingers impatiently, glancing outside to stare at the sun rising. A breeze drifted by, it felt relaxing.
Carlos was taking a nap in the corner of the room, he was pretty exhausted. Lando walked over and sat beside him, gently shaking him to try and wake him up as it was time for them to leave. The Spaniard woke up, yawning and blinking tiredly as Lando heaved him up. They were all rested up so hopefully they could continue travelling for a day or so... but knew some people enjoyed sleeping so that might slow them down.
"Are we going?" Carlos mumbled, rubbing his eyes to wake himself up as he sorted out his messy hair and grabbed his helmet. Their main source of protection for their heads were their racing helmets. It worked as every time they got injured it tended to be when they didn't have helmets on. Mick had made Milka some boots that K9 dogs wore so their paws didn't get tired, Carlos thought it looked pretty cool.
"Yeah we're going, come on." The Brit told Carlos.
"MICK YOU DIDN'T TELL ME YOU FOUND A DOG!!" Charles excitedly yelled, running over and showering Milka with love and affection.
"Thank you so much for taking care of Daniel and Mick." Seb thanked the medical staff as they shook hands with the same doctors that had greeted them here. And as he said that, they left into the sunrise.
