Blondie sat up in bed for what felt like the hundredth time tonight. She just could not get to sleep. She looked over at her roommate Cupid. Sweet, caring, gentle Cupid. Oh what Blondie wouldn't give to have Cupid look at her the way she looks at Dexter Charming. Blondie didn't understand what Cupid saw in him. Sure, he was a sweet guy and all, but..

Blondie pushed these thoughts away as she layed back down and stared at her ceiling. She thought about Cupid some more. Just the thought of Cupid smiling at her made Blondie's cheeks glow a bright shade of pink.

Goodness Blondie. What has gotten into you!
She thought to herself as she put her hands on her very warm face. She couldn't possible like Cupid. Cupid is clearly in love with Dexter. Blondie didn't want to get in the way of Cupid's love for him, she cared about her far too much for that to happen.

Oh, but Blondie wanted Cupid all to herself.
Who am I kidding. She's probably just like all of the others. Fake and heartbreaking.
Blondie thought, as she remembered the way people talked about her at school.
It made her blood boil.

No.. Cupid isn't like that. She's.. Special.
Blondie thought, just as she began to finally drift off to sleep. She looked over at Cupid one more time, and closed her eyes to peacefully dream about her until the morning.

Blondie awoke from her slumber, feeling as awful as ever. She looked over at Cupid, just as she had done the night before.

She looked so peaceful. Blondie just wanted to crawl into bed with her and be her little spoon. Now that sounded just right to Blondie.

She seriously contemplated doing it too. She changed her mind, as she had the thought that Cupid would push her away, or call her awful things behind her back, or spread rumors about her to the whole school!

The possibilities were endless.

Luckily it was a Saturday, so they didn't have school, and Blondie didn't have to wait all day just to see Cupids pretty face.

Blondie heard shuffling and turned away immediately. Cupid woke up. "*yawn* good morning Blonds!" Cupid said softly as she sat up in her bed, stretching sleepily as she did so.

Blondie blushed slightly hearing Cupids cute nickname for her. Nobody else was allowed to call her that. Just Cupid.

"Morning Cupid!" Blondie said in reply. Cupid smiled at her, and her face turned a bright shade of crimson red.

She turned away quickly, in hopes that Cupid hadn't seen her blushing. That was a bust though. "Hey, why is your face so red? Awwhh are you blushing??" Cupid asked.

Blondie turned around. "N-no of course not! Who would I even possibly be blushing about!?" She screeched.

Cupid shrugged her shoulders, but under her breath, not loud enough for Blondie to hear, she spoke. "Maybe me.."

Blondie heard her speak, but couldn't understand what she said. "Hm, wht was that?" She asked. Cupid blushed and denied. "U-um, nothing.." She said softly..

Cupid never thought Blondie could ever feel that way about her. With the way Cupid's fairytale was supposed to go, she never thought anyone could love her. They weren't supposed to be able to. If only she knew..

"Hey Blonds, wanna go get lunch with me?" Cupid asked. She had meant it as a date, but she would never say that to Blondie directly. Blondie looked at Cupid and blushed slightly. Cupid was giving her the biggest puppy eyes ever. It melted Blondie's heart immediately.

"Y-yeah! Yeah of course!" Blondie said. She told herself to think of it as a date, because that's what she wanted it to be. She feared if she had actually asked Cupid if it was one, then Cupid would turn her back on Blondie and tell everyone what a freak she was. More shit talk wouldn't help Blondie at all.

As they got dressed to go out, Cupid couldn't help but notice how cute Blondie looked. To Cupid she looked cute all of the time, but right now she was just about 25% cuter than she normally was, and even then that would be 125% cute.

Cupid decided to be bold. "You look so cute, Blonds!" She said as she held her breath, hoping she didn't just mess things up between her and her beautiful crush/best friend.

Blondie blushed a crimson red. HOLY SHIT CUPID JUST CALLED ME CUTE. She thought as she nearly fainted. "You look pretty stunning your self hun!" Blondie said, silently praying that she didn't make Cupid uncomfortable or anything along the lines of such.

Instead, Cupid blushed, and gave Blondie the biggest hug ever. She snuggled into Blondie, burying her head in the nape of her neck. Blondie hugged back, blushing Bright red as she did so.

They let go, and finally decided to go out, and oh what a wonderful time the two had together. They went to book-end to find a good restaurant, and once they found one they ate their lunch and talked among themselves. Then they went shopping at so many stores. Trying on new clothes in front of each other was fun, but left both of them speechless.

When they got back to school though, it ruined Blondie's whole day. People were whispering about her, and giving her nasty glares. She didn't know what she had done, and that was the worst part.

Cupid took notice of this and silently flipped off everyone around them, and then grabbed Blondie's hand and dragged her back to their dorm.

When they got there, Blondie sat down on her bed and stared at her hands quietly. She hated the way people made her feel. She didn't know why they treated her so horribly, but she needed to know at some point or else she might loose her head trying to find out.

Cupid walked over to Blondie's bed and sat down in front of her. She took Blondie's hands into her own and sighed. "Don't let those assholes get to you Blonds, they aren't worth thinking about if they are just going to betray you like that." She said softly, subbing the tops of Blondie hands with her thumbs carefully to soothe her a bit.

Blondie hated to admit it, but Cupid was right. "Y-yeah.. I just- I don't know what I ever did to them.. I try so hard to get them to like me, and all I ever get is shit for it. They want me to be prettier, I change the way I look. They want me to smile more, so I do. But when I do change for them, all they ever do is get even more mad. They call me a try-hard, Cupid. And that hurts." Blondie said sadly, letting a single tear slip from her eye.

Cupid noticed it, and brought one of her hands up to Blondie's face. She grazed her thumb over the tear and wiped it away. "I'm so sorry Blonds.. Who needs them anyways. They all suck if they can't see how gorgeous, and smart and kind-hearted you are. Because I see all of it. You are perfect just the way you are, Blondie. Don't let them make you think otherwise. Cupid said as she took a chance and lightly kissed Blondie on the forehead. Blondie blushed, and smiled brightly.

Maybe there was someone that cared. Someone who loved Blondie when nobody else would. And that person might be Cupid. She just didn't know it yet.
