In fact, most beasts have never seen fire. Beasts are naturally afraid of fire, and even after evolving into orcs, they still harbor a deep-seated fear of it.
Mikey is one of the few orcs who has witnessed fire’s powerful, destructive force firsthand. After all, fire was the cause of losing someone he cherished deeply.
“Do you really have to use fire?” Mikey asked, looking into the eyes of the small female.
“Um... Yeah,” Takemichi replied slowly.
“I’ll take you to find fire,” Mikey said, helplessly picking Takemichi up.
“Can’t we just drill wood to make fire?” Takemichi asked.
“Drill wood to make fire? How do you do that?” Mikey looked at Takemichi with confusion; this was the first time he had heard of such a method.
Takemichi’s eyes lit up as he spotted two branches and began to rub them together. Despite his efforts, after a long time of rubbing, his palms were almost worn out, and he still couldn’t produce even a small spark.
