I immediately covered and wrapped the two babies in the animal skin cloth after gently wiping them with a clean cloth. They were coated in a watery substance.
“Mikey, you two should go to Lang Zhu, the witch doctor, and have him examine the babies,” Draken said, setting the eggshells aside.
“But what about you?” Mikey asked, transforming into his beast form.
“I’ll stay here and clean up the mess. You two go on. And Mikey, remember to be careful and take it slow. You’re carrying two newborns, so don’t rush,” Draken reminded Mikey, his tone a mix of concern and authority.
Though Mikey was tempted to argue, he knew better than to disregard Draken’s advice. He simply nodded in agreement. Draken then took an animal skin cloth and draped it over me.
“Wow... it’s so warm!” I thought as I felt the comforting warmth from the cloth.
The weather was nice, though a bit colder than usual.
