"Arghhh, where the hell is he?!"
A frustrated voice echoed just beyond the borders of the rocky mountain tribe.

The speaker, a young male with a scowl etched into his face, clenched his fists, pacing back and forth.

"Tsk, should I just go to the tribe leader and ask for help?"

He had been circling the tribe for hours, searching high and low, both inside the village and along its outskirts, for one person-his friend. The same friend who, three weeks ago, had left abruptly, mumbling something about looking for someone, something important.

Four days later, he returned, battered, a rough-hewn cloak of animal skins draped over his head, clearly hurt-he smelt herds-clearly he had been in the tribe healers cave.

The moment he saw the state his friend was in, fury boiled inside him. He had demanded to know what happened, what caused the injuries. But all he got in return was a dismissive response-something about falling from a tree.

Naturally, he hadn't believed it. He pressed for the truth, pushed again and again, but the same vague answer always came back until he finally gave up in frustration.

He thought that would be the end of it. But no-things only got stranger after that.

His friend started acting weird, like he wasn't fully there anymore. He'd catch him staring off into space, muttering under his breath about something the other man couldn't quite make out.

There was always this one direction he seemed fixated on.

Once, out of curiosity, the frustrated man had followed his friend's gaze, expecting to see something unusual-but there was nothing. Empty space. He brushed it off, telling himself his friend was just being paranoid, though deep down, a nagging concern gnawed at him.

And then, his friend vanished. No word, no warning-gone for a full week.

"Dammit!"
The young male cursed, slamming his fist against the nearest tree in anger and helplessness.

His dark brows furrowed deeply as he marched through the market square, his mind racing. Every corner, every shadowed alley, his eyes scanned for a sign.

He was no closer to finding answers.

Just as he was about to pass a row of bustling stalls, the ground seemed to shake beneath heavy footsteps. He stopped, sensing a presence behind him-something big, something imposing.
