Narrator's POV
Lauren met Sinu outside the dressing room. She asked Sinu if Alejandro, Camila's manager, was inside with Camila since Lauren did not see him. Sinu told Lauren, that Alejandro was outside, answering a call. She also told Lauren that Camila wanted her alone time for another fifteen minutes, which Sinu thought would be more than fifteen minutes. Lauren asked Sinu whether they could help Camila. Sinu said no one could do anything when Camila was in such a mood. The only thing they could do was to let her take her time.
It was not the first time that Lauren had to deal with such things. She had had many experiences with clients, who had personal issues that could cause their workflow. She told Sinu she wanted to see Camila. Sinu doubted it. Lauren convinced Sinu, and Sinu let Lauren try. Lauren walked to the door. She knocked on it and gently called Camila before she opened it as no response from Camila. Lauren saw Camila sitting in front of the mirror with her eyes closed.
"Can't I have my fucking fifteen minutes?" Camila was upset. Her tone was angry yet helpless.
Lauren was somewhat shocked, but she stayed calm as she always did. "Sorry..." She was still holding the doorknob, looking at Camila. She should have left, but she did not. It was because she cared.
Camila realized it was not her manager, nor her mother when she heard that soothing voice belonged to Lauren. She looked in the door direction and saw Lauren. "I'm sorry..." She said in a low voice. "I... I just need a little bit more time."
"Alright!" Lauren could not disagree when she saw Camila's sad eyes. "Sure."
Camila looked away and covered her face. She felt bad yelling at Lauren.
"We can reschedule it if you can't do it today." Lauren calmly said.
Camila sighed, "No, I just need extra time," She said uninterested. "Can I have fifteen or thirty minutes more?" Camila asked and slightly looked at Lauren.
Lauren pursed her lips and looked at her watch, "yes... but if you want to reschedule. We can do that." Lauren offered another option.
"No..." Camila said weakly.
"Alright! Let me know if something I can help..." Lauren was closing the door. "I will let you take your time."
"Lauren!" Camila stopped Lauren.
"Yes, Camila?" Lauren looked at Camila with her hand on the doorknob.
Camila was thinking about how to as Lauren to stay with her. She found Lauren's presence, and Lauren's voice was soothing and calming her. Lauren somehow understood Camila even though Camila did not say it. Lauren closed the door behind her. She walked in closer and slowly sat on the chair next to Camila, who did not look her in the eyes.
"You had a long day?" Lauren asked.
Camila sighed, "Yeah..."
Lauren gave Camila a few moments before she told her, "If you want to share, I am all ears."
Camila finally looked Lauren in the eyes. Lauren saw it. Camila was holding her tears. "I... no..."
"Okay..." Lauren's voice was as small as Camila's. She matched her voice, but hers was calmer.
Camila's tears fell when she saw how Lauren looked at her. She felt like Lauren could see through her, what she was feeling right now. It made Camila weak.
