Chapter 04: Got Intense

Narrator's POV

Camila was like holding her breath, but she was not. She was looking at Lauren, wondering what was going to happen. Camila had never felt like this. She was a bit nervous but not a bad kind of nervous. She was nervous as she had little hope that Lauren would bring up the brief looks they shared since they met. Camila had more than enough people who wanted her, who told her that they liked and wanted her. She was not impressed or hoped for them. However, Camila never thought this day would come, the day when she wanted someone to say that to her.

"Yes, Lauren?" Camila adjusted her hair.

"Camila, I don't know if you know, but I have to tell you. I hope you won't laugh at me." Lauren said.

"...I won't," Camila told Lauren.

"To meet you in person and to work with you for the music video is a dream come true for me..." Lauren added.

"Same, here..." Camila could not wait to hear what Lauren wanted to say.

"There's another thing that I wish, you will do for me," Lauren said.

"Yes?" Camila frowned. What did Lauren want her to do for her?

"I have been planning it in my head since the day we met, after the meeting." Lauren continued, "I have waited for this opportunity to ask you. It's in my head all this time. It's silly, but please can you keep it between us. I think nobody knows about it."

"Yes, I will."

"You promise me whatever it is you will keep it secret and won't laugh at me?" Lauren looked Camila in the eyes, searching for reassurance.

"Yes, Lauren. I will. I promise. What is it?" Camila was a bit losing her patience, but she was amused with Lauren's behavior as well.

"I..." Lauren chuckled, "I'm secretly a big fan of yours."

Camila smiled, "Me, too!"

"No, you're not." Lauren did not believe it was the same. It was different from how she adored Camila and how Camila admired her.

"I am," Camila said with determination in her eyes. She did like Lauren as an artist and as a person, too. Lauren pursed her lips. "That's the secret?"

"Yes..." Lauren was all smiling.

"Lauren... it's not silly. There's nothing or no one should laugh about that." Camila was amused by Lauren's innocence.

"Yeah... but there's one thing I want to ask from you," Lauren said.

"Yes? What is that?" Camila frowned. She did not know where it was heading now. Unlikely, Lauren was going to discuss their brief looks.

"Give me a second!" Lauren went to her desk. She took a small bag out of a drawer and walked to Camila. "This..."

"For me?" Camila was almost flattered.

"No...Would you sign them for me?" Lauren opened the bag consisting of Camila's albums. It was all her albums from CDs to Vinyl.

"..." Camila was speechless. She got mixed feelings. She was disappointed as it was not what she expected, but she also found it amusing for Lauren's fangirl heart. She did not know that Lauren was really that one fan.
