Narrator's POV

Since Camila did not laugh and her mood changed, Lauren knew she should not have said that. Lauren looked at Normani and Ally slightly before she looked back at Camila, who was looking for something in her bag. Camila took her phone out and made a phone call.

"Ally, let's settle the payment," Normani asked Ally to follow her, leaving the table to the cashier. "We have to get back to the office."

"Alright!" Ally read the situation fast. She stood up and followed Normani. Normani and Ally suddenly felt the tension. Normani knew what was coming, while Ally only knew there was something strange, but she did not know what it was yet.

Lauren was looking at Camila, who called her mother.

Camila: Mom, where are you?

Sinuhe: I'm still at Sofia's school.

Camila: Oh.

Sinuhe: How's the lunch?

Camila: It's finished.

Sinuhe: Do you want me to pick you up? (Camila was staying at her parents' last two days)

Camila: No, I will get a taxi.

Sinuhe: You can call Peter. (Peter was Camila's driver)

Camila: No, It will take too long.

Sinuhe: Okay. Let me know when you need something else!

Camila: Okay, thanks, Mom. See you!

Sinuhe: See you, Camilita!

Camila ended the call with her mother and proceeded to get herself a taxi. She ignored Lauren, who was looking at her. Lauren could not stand the silence and was ignored by Camila. She asked Camila.

"Are you leaving?" Lauren said.

Camila did not answer Lauren nor looked at her. She ignored Lauren.

"I can drive you home." Lauren offered Camila a lift.

Receiving no answer, Lauren gently called Camila, "Camila..." She moved her hand to touch Camila's arm to get her attention.

"No, I am good," Camila answered Lauren's previous offer.

Lauren internally sighed, "It's just a joke." Lauren knew Camila was upset with her.

"I know," Camila's answer was short.

"..." Lauren looked at Camila. If Camila knew it was a joke, she should not be upset. Lauren did not know Camila for long, but she definitely knew Camila got a sense of humor. "You know?!"

"Yes," Camila looked at Lauren after ordering her taxi. Lauren smiled but Camila did not "I'm a joke to you."

Lauren's smile disappeared. Camila was getting ready to leave. She was waiting for the taxi driver to arrive as she constantly checked her phone.

"You know... you are not," Lauren said.

Camila did not respond to Lauren. Lauren did not expect she would have such drama on her birthday as she was drama free kind of person. The driver had arrived, and Camila stood up to leave, but Lauren stopped her by holding Camila's arm. Camila looked at Lauren, "Thank you for the lunch!" She pulled her hand out of Lauren's hold. Camila turned around and left.
