Ok so I'm very sorry for the wait. I have no excuse for it. I was honestly being lazy and procrastinating. So I made this chapter nice and long for you guys. It was also my favorite chapter to write so far. Please comment and let me know your thoughts. I love getting feedback, even negative feedback. Ok so here it is, I hope you guys enjoy! :)

Moving into Max’s apartment was a chore in itself. I never realized how much crap I had until Max and I were loading it into box after box. I was glad though to be leaving the hell that was my home with my mother. Too many times had she hurt me, called me useless, or ugly. I just wish that I got the chance to see the look on her face when she gets back from her vacation to an empty house.

“Maddie are you ok?” Max’s voice says from behind me, lifting the last box into the back of my car. I turn to look at him and smile as his muscle’s tighten in his tight white shirt; immediately causing images of him naked and flexing his muscles for me. God I am such a pervert. When did my mind become constantly stuck in the gutter?

“Yeah Max I’m good, just thinking about my mom. Are we ready to go?” He nods and heads to his car while I climb in mine. The drive to my new home took about forty-five minutes and when we pulled into the parking lot of the complex, I could feel the excitement coursing through my veins. This was my chance to start a new life in some aspects. I felt independent; like I was on top of the world and could do anything I wanted. I felt free. Free from my mother’s clutches, free from the black cloud that hung over my house since my father died.

Max and I started unloading the boxes and bringing them up to our place. After numerous trips back and forth, we had everything inside of my new room. I loved it; the walls were already the perfect shade of light blue and instead of carpet there was a wood floor. The bathroom that connected to the room was painted white with black tile and a matching black marble counter. I loved it and it was even decorated yet, it felt like more of a home than my old place did.

“You want me to help you unpack and get things set up? I could order us a pizza for dinner.” Max asked. I shook my head yes and he went out to order the pizza. I grabbed the first box and opened it. I was grateful that this place came with furniture; it saved me from having to call movers and spend a ton of money on three things of furniture. Max came back in the room and grabbed a box.

“So how was your day Maddie?”

"It was interesting to say the least. Alex cornered me in the bathroom and begged me to forgive him.” I said shrugging my shoulders.

“And did you?” he asked curiously. I nodded my head and grabbed the next box full of clothing.

“What the hell Maddie!” I stopped what I was doing and stared at Max like he had grown an extra head.

“What do mean ‘what the hell’ Max? I’m confused.”

“I mean why the hell would you forgive him so easily? Hell why would you forgive that ass at all. He’s not good for you Maddie; he’s done nothing but hurt you since you got together.” He shouted angrily. Ok this was a side of Max that I was definitely not used to seeing.

“Max calm down ok. I forgave him because he apologized. I really like him and he’s promised not to do it again.” I said reassuringly, yet I couldn’t get rid of the feeling that not only was I trying to convince Max, but myself as well.

“Maddie I love you and all, but sometimes you’re just plain stupid! Of course he’s gonna promise to never do it again, he’s a guy that’s going to say whatever you want to here just so he can get into your pants again! You should just dump him on his sorry ass before he can hurt you again.” I shook my head no to him. I wasn’t just gonna up and end it with Alex because Max said too. “Seriously Maddie you could do so much better than him!” He threw his arms up in the air and stormed out of my room exasperated.
