THREE DAYS. THAT WAS DOTHRAKI TRADITION, and so it was three days before Rhaenerys' entire life would change depending on the outcome of the fight.
Early that morning, she was up and was sick with Ser Barris having to hold her hair back as she threw up into her chamber pot. So far she could not keep anything down, and it was beginning to make her weak and frustrated at the same time. She knew the reason was because she feared for Robb so dearly that it had an impact on her own body.
She could barely sleep for the past few days, and now she would be forced to witness her lover fight to the death just to keep what was already his.
Rhaenerys wanted nothing more than to go to Robb and to tell him that he didn't have to fight but he never would listen. He would never leave the fate of his people hanging in the balance like that, not even for her, and especially not with his own father's life on the line as well.
And though she wanted so desperately to tell him to, she didn't. She couldn't. Daenerys had her locked her away in her room until it was time to leave. The Queen was still incredibly angry with her actions, and had not spoken to Rhaenerys ever since the challenge had been issued. Rhaenerys did not know what Daenerys was thinking as her face was straight and tame. She wished that Daenerys said anything rather than ignoring her. That was worse than her screaming at her.
But Rhaenerys, who was beginning to learn that her consequences had actions, knew that was one of the many consequences. The other was the possibility that Robb could die which made her barely being able to stand or function or sleep. Ser Barris had to hold her body up most of the way whilst he rode with her on dragon back to the arena.
When they got there, Rhaenerys didn't even focus on all of the amazed looks as people saw her dragons. She was more focused on finding Robb. That was the only thing she was focused on, and she didn't even survey the arena before she was running all over and calling out his name.
Ser Barris tagged along with her and followed her to make sure she didn't cause any more trouble. Or that trouble didn't find her, as there were quite a lot of spectators already glaring at her, among them being Cersei Lannister and none other than Zhilli Haggo himself.
Rhaenerys ignored them all as she found Robb in a warm up tent, surrounded by his mother, his father, and his eldest sister and brother. When Rhaenerys ran in, she could immediately tell that she was not welcome. Catelyn immediately stop talking and turned her glare at Rhaenerys, protests leaving her lips that were ignored by Robb as he ran straight to her.
"What are you doing here?" Lady Catelyn was ready to charge at Rhaenerys but Ned Stark quickly shook his head. Meanwhile, the two lovers basked in the others presence, Rhaenerys' tear-filled eyes meeting Robb's.
