Evelyn entered Nelson and Murdock quickly and went into Foggy's office with the hopes of hiding before Matt realized that she was there. She knew it was likely impossible but it made her feel a little better telling herself that she was about to surprise him.

"Let me see. Let me see." Foggy exclaimed quietly as he came around his desk to meet her halfway.

Opening up the box, she showed him the plaque that she helped get created. Seeing the sign that he designed after he and Matt left Landman and Zack's brought a large grin to his face. "Eve, this looks amazing."

"I know. They did a fantastic job."

"Are you sure we can't tempt you to come work for us?"

She laughed. "You can barely afford to pay Karen. I'm good with where I am."

"You are doing good work for the small businesses around here. Guess I can't take you away from that. Plus mom wouldn't be too happy with me."

"You are right about that." She smiled. Evelyn may get paid by Metro-General Hospital but where her heart lay was helping the mom-and-pop shops trying to still thrive or even grow in the midst of a city that preferred big names or big pockets. While Foggy and Matt were getting their law degrees, she studied business and public relations. She now took her knowledge and helped small businesses with their marketing, especially on the digital side of things. She did it for free or if they felt like they needed to give her something, she only ever asked for a small discount on their services. One of the first places that allowed her to help was Nelson's Meats and her client list only grew from there.

"Let's go show the others." She said as she closed the box and whirled around to head back out to the main part of the office.

They walked out just as Matt poked his head out. "Karen, did someone just come in?" He asked and all she could do was grin.

"Foggy and I wanted to surprise you." She said, looking at the other two in the room.

"Remember that sign I drew for us after we left Landman's and you couldn't exactly see it?" Foggy asked as Evelyn pulled the sign out of the box.

Matt chuckled. "Yeah."

"Well, I reached out to a mutual friend of ours." He nudged her forward, who laughed a bit as she stumbled towards him.

"And I got it made so you can." Evelyn held out the sign, bumping the edge of it on his hand so he could feel where it was. She smiled when his eyebrows raised in recognition before his fingers moved along the letters.

"You made this?"

"I know a guy." She quipped.

Matt huffed out a laugh. "You're more connected in this city than Confed Global."

Foggy and Evelyn soon joined in his laughter with Karen slowly joining in. "And connected with far better people too," Evelyn said.

"How so?" Karen asked.

"Eve does marketing for the small businesses around Hell's Kitchen. She has a wide enough network she could be doing it full time but she doesn't charge them anything unless they want to give her a discount." Foggy explained.

"Yeah, I decided I didn't want to work at a fancy firm doing the marketing of companies like Confed Global so I work at the hospital in admin and take care of everything else."

"More like everyone else," Foggy murmured.

"So you all are philanthropists then?" Karen asked.

Evelyn laughed. "Yeah, you could say that. We all grew up here and we just want to make it better. We just happened to be going about it in different ways." She shrugged, handing the sign back over to Foggy. "But I've got to get back to work. Meet at Josie's sometime this week? I feel like we all need it." She offered as she hugged everyone.
