Hikori was sitting on the couch; Irei cuddled up to him and resting. As he heard footsteps, soft steps, from behind the couch, he craned his neck back and was surprised to see that it was Kirishima. Hikori was a bit confused as he had a habit of telling which classmate was which by the sound of their footsteps, to see that Kirishima was trending lightly instead of her usual stomping. If he didn't look at who it was, he would've assumed it was Hasukī.
Hikori continued to watch as she seemed to be mumbling something under her breath with in an inaudible tone.
"Yo...!" Hikori began, Irei stirring. "You good Kiri?"
"Huh...?!" Kirishima cried with confusion as she looked up. "What do you want Sparks?!"
"Woah...! Pump the Hate Breaks. I was just asking if you were OK."
"I'm fine...!" Kirishima then stomped off as some of their other classmates entered the room.
Some of them were upstairs and training or had gone out to hang at the mall. Hikori and Irei were only two of the few left that were staying in their common room.
Hikori went back to gazing into nothingness when a scream echoed through the dorms. This caused Irei to wake with a start and for everyone else that was left to run into the common room just as Hasukī ran in! Crying and looking terrified.
"Hasukī-san!" Irei exclaimed as the smale girl ran into his outstretched arms. "What's wrong?!"
"There's writing on my window in red stuff that looks like blood!" She sobbed.
Hikori got a strange sense of deja vu as he jogged into the girls section of the dorms. Although it was against the rules, this should be an exception, surely...!
When Hikori entered the girl's room, which had white walls and blue accents everywhere, including a large amount of plushies, Hikori ripped open the girl's blue curtains and she was right. There was words written on the window in a blood red liquid.
Turning towards the door, Hikori saw Irei with Hasukī hiding behind his leg and shaking in fear, Eijitski, Adrien, Shiro, Hanna and Supaiku standing there; looking at the window and trying to make sense of everything.
Hikori turned back around and took out his phone. He snapped a picture of the writing. He wandered out of the short, Husky girl's room, analysing the picture.
"Hik...?" Irei questioned, allowing him to exit the room. "Everything OK...?"
"Y-yeah... I just- need to talk to my dads. Sorry." Hikori made his way to the boy's section of the dorms and went to his room.
Sitting on his bed, he dialled his papa's number and waited for him to pick up.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Papa. Are you on speaker?"
"Hey, Hikori! Yeah I am. Your dad's here too. What's up?"
"Something happened. One-"
"You got Kidnapped?!" Denki interrupted.
"W-What...?!"
"You hurt yourself?! You hurt another student?! There was a villain attack?! The school got blown up?! You-!"
"No dad, What the fuck?!" Hikori cried, cutting of his blonde dad. "How much did you guys go through at UA, geez!"
"A lot." Hitoshi replied. "Now. Tell us what's happened."
"One of my classmates, Hasukī Surasshu, found blood like writing on her bedroom window. It looked like someone had snuck into the school and did it."
"... Any evidence of a prank or sorts?"
"Not that we could find, no. Hasukī seemed pretty scared. Not to mention that whatever was used was freshly done as the liquid was still dripping wet."
"... What was written?"
"... It wasn't a sentence exactly. It looked more like a cryptic message of sorts. Almost like there's a hidden message."
"What did it say?"
"This has happened before."
"..."
"But now that I say it out-loud, it sounds like there should be more to it then what's being said."
"Fair enough. Hang on. Denks? You OK, Baby?"
"...Just stay safe, alright, Hikori? And look out for your friends. Promise?"
"You have my word."
"Anytime there is another incident like this, write down what has been written and call us. This is serious, OK? Promise me that you won't try and solve this on your own."
"I can't complete-"
"HIKORI! Please...! You have to promise that you won't engage in the situation...! Your job is to keep yourself and your friends safe. Not matter what."
"... I promise, Dad."
"Good. We love you."
"Love you, too, Dad. Papa. I'll let you be. Talk to you soon."
"Same here, Kiddo."
Hikori waited till his parents hung up before leaving his room to go back to his friends. He also wanted cuddles from Irei.
MEANWHILE, WITH DENKI AND HITOSHI
Hitoshi hung up the call and turned towards his husband, whom had a look of fear and seriousness mixed tightly into one expression.
"He's a smart boy, Denki." Hitoshi said softly, placing a hand on his husband's tensed, left shoulder. "He'll keep them all safe, and you know it. He just like you, in so many ways."
"I know. But I can't believe he would be targeting a bunch of 15 and 16 year olds." Denki replied, turning to look into Hitoshi's purple gaze. "He should be captured or even killed. Our son shouldn't have to go through this. He's already been through so much."
"I know." Hitoshi pulled Denki into a side hug and rubbed his hands up and down the other male's shoulders; Denki resting his head in the crook of Hitoshi's neck. "But we knew that his life would be like a rollercoaster when we planned on having kids. The life of being a child of pro heroes isn't easy."
"But you had it easy, didn't you?"
"Shotā and Hizashi said that, when I was born, they expected me to be the best self I could be, and I was. Sure people bullied me about having a potentially villainous quirk but, with that came the personal expectations to meet the world's standards of being a child prodigy. But they told me that the world was rigged and uptight; always trying to mould people to be what they want. Aizawa said that the only way to break that mould was to show people that I wouldn't be so easily tied down. And that's exactly how I want Hikori's life to be. I don't want him succumbing to the world's expectations."
Hitoshi placed a kiss on Denki's forehead before he got up and went to make a cup of coffee, Denki following him like a lost puppy, only for the blonde to wrap his arms around the taller male's waist; burying his head into Hitoshi's shoulder blades. Hitoshi released a deep laugh from his throat.
"Silly, Pikachu..."
