Hikori was counting down the days till the dance. He had noticed that his classmates were starting to get really close to each other, regardless if any of them were dating or not.
All he heard, every afternoon and weekend, was the sound of heels on the floor; soft thumps on carpet and clacking on hardwood, from the girls' high heels. When Hikori questioned Hasukī about it, she told him it was so they could wear their heels in so they wouldn't be uncomfortable or leave red marks on their ankles.
Kirishima then scoffed and said that that's why she was wearing boots. Hasukī said that she and Iida were going to wear ballet flats instead. Hikori didn't understand any of it, but just nodded like he understood.
"You didn't understand any of that, did you Hik?" Irei asked as his boyfriend wandered over to him, from his previous conversation.
"Not a word but I'm not telling them that." Hikori replied, only to earn a giggle from the candy-cane haired boy.
"At least we don't have to wander around in our suits or ties or anything like that."
"Heh, yeah. We already do that with our uniforms."
"Facts."
"Are you looking forward to the dance, Rei?"
"Absolutely."
"How many days left?"
"About a week, I think."
"Nice."
The boys joined the rest of the boys in the common room and turned on a program on TV, although no one was really paying attention, but only talking about the dance.
"I wonder what this year's big 3 is like...?" Togata said, running his hand through Takami's hair, the other boy humming in response.
"We haven't met them yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing the students from Support, General studies and the other departments." Kaneki replied.
"Do you know who I'm not looking forward to seeing?" Harinézumi added.
"Who?"
"Monoma. That guy gives me bad vibes."
"Hm." Hikori hummed. "He's a bit, what's the word...?! That's right...! Self centred. It doesn't seem like he cares about anyone except himself and his boyfriend."
"I'm looking forward to seeing Minoskie again, though." Adrien piped up, diverting his eyes from his switch for only a split second.
"Me too! He's a cool guy and I'm looking forward to hanging out with him again!" Shiro smiled.
"But I thought you were going to spend the whole night dancing with you know who~!"
"Sh-Shut Up, Adrien...!" Shiro's face went bright red as he gave the Pepsi haired male a shove in the shoulder, causing him to drop his switch and loose at his game. "I don't like her in that way...!"
"Uh huh~! Sure~!"
"What's all this about?" Hikori asked with confusion. "I missed a lot while I was gone so can some one please fill me in...?!"
"Shiro has a crush on Kirishima." Hagakure replied, tail swishing from side-to-side along the carpet.
"Wait. ReALLY?! Kirishima?! The same Kirishima that said that love was stupid and a waste of time?! That Kirishima?!"
"Yes, Hikori...!" Irei giggled, causing the other boy to blush as he stared at Shiro; mouth agape.
"HOLY SHIT!"
"Please don't tell her...! She's most likely to pummel me to a pulp if she found out...!"
"Don't worry, man." Kendo smiled, revealing his sharp as fuck teeth. "We'll protect you from the spawn of Satan herself.
"Wouldn't that make Ground Zero Satan?" Zen questioned, looking up from his book, being How To Kill A Mockingbird.
"Exactly."
"Alright then." Zen then shifted his gaze back to his book with a shrug.
"You should ask her to be your date to the dance!" Harinézumi smiled, head twitching violently, resulting in a crack escaping in the process. He let out a silent, painful gasp and placed a hand on his neck in the sore spot; rubbing it.
"You alright, Harinézumi?" Togata questioned.
"I'm good. Just pulled a muscle in my neck. Sometimes it happens when I twitch really hard."
"As long as you're OK. Anyways; are you going to ask her to the dance, Shiro?"
"I dunno... Would she really want to go with me?"
"You never know unless you ask." Takami mumbled, closing his eyes; seemingly to have a rest.
"My cousin might be a bit of a hotheaded bitch but she means we'll. She might have an exterior like my Uncle Katsuki but she has a soft interior like Uncle Eijiro."
"... Maybe... But if I was to, Theoretically, ask her; what would be the best way...?"
"Flowers?" Zen jumped in.
"Nah, to cliché." Hikori replied with a wave of his hand.
"How did you guys ask each other out?" Shiro questioned, referring to Hikori, Irei, Takami and Togata, since they had been together the longest, from the class. Exception of Ojiro and Tori.
"Dai confessed to me with a letter."
"Mine and Irei's is a bit more complicated then that, as you know, with the whole 'Going Back In Time' and shit." Hikori sighed as he learnt back against the couch, throwing his arms over the back and throwing his head back, too.
"Just go with what you think feels right." Hagakure replied, bangs completely covering his eyes down to the bridge of his nose, as he placed a gentle hand on the blonde boy's back with a smile. "Everyone is different so different ways will work for different people...!"
"Exactly." Irei nodded, the rest of the boys showing their agreement.
"OK... Maybe I could get her alone so I can talk to her, but how could I do that?" Shiro asked, looking between the boys, as he put his hands in his lap.
"Maybe.... Nah..."
"W-What...?!" Everyone looked at Irei.
"Never mind. Don't worry about it."
"Tell me, please, MT?!"
"Fine! Remember when we went back in time? And when she said she loved paintballing?"
"Yeah...?"
"Take her paintballing then take her somewhere for lunch. That way, when you tell her how you feel, if she has the same feelings, it can be classed as a date. If not; then a fun hangout."
"... That could actually work...!"
"Thanks, MT! You're the best!"
"Why thank you!"
"Don't flatter yourself, Irei." Hikori smirked.
"Fuck off, Hikori...!"
As Irei shoved him, Hikori jumped on him a d started to tickle him. They then placed their lips together in a kiss.
"Could you, I dunno," Benjiro began. "Do that somewhere else where it doesn't make me feel single?"
"Sorry, man " Hikori replied as his face flushed red.
Irei stood up, grabbed his hand and pulled him down the hall to his room. Once inside, Hikori smiled mischievously before placing his hands on the, only cm shorter boy's waist, before placing a kiss on his lips once more.
A/N- The final paragraph is not an intended smut interpretation, it's just the two of them sharing a very passionate kiss without making the others in the class feel single.
Thanks.
