"Oh everyone listen! There is this dance on Saturday in your school. Maybe you want to go there with your friends?!" Karen said.
I didn't hear it. I thought about the things that happened yesterday at lovers lake.
But I had no answers and questions everywhere.

"Sweetie?" Karen tried to talk to me. "Rose Evans I'm talking to you!" She screamed upset. Now I heard her. "What?" I asked. She told me the facts for the ball. "Woah this is cool! I'll convince them to go there!" I said excitedly.
I went in my room.

Nancy, Robin and Jonathan were at work. Nance slept at Jonathan's house so I didn't saw her yesterday. They're a couple so that's completely fine for me! Steve applied for the Scoops Ahoy job and got invited for a talk. Eddie said yesterday that he has to help his uncle with something today.

I am the only one who had nothing to do, so I went into our cellar to see if anyone's there.

"Hey Rose! What are you doing here?" Will asked. "Hey guys! Are you playing D&D?" I ask them. "No actually not," Mike answered. "Yesterday we went on a hill because we wanted to radio with Dustin's "girlfriend" but she didn't answer." Lucas told me. "She probably didn't hear me!" Dustin defended his self. "But guys it's true, I heard something else. An other radio massage! It could be Russian!"

"A Russian radio massage. Sure, it happens to me every time!" Lucas laughed. Dustin stood up and left the room. "Dustin, wait!" I shouted after him, but he was gone.

"Let him go Rose! He will come back. Day of the death is in the cinemas! Shall we go now?" Mike asked. They all agreed and Lucas called Max with the Wheelers cell phone.
"Do you want to go with us?" Will asked me. "No thanks, I'm not into that genre. But thanks for asking me," I thanked him.

Today I did something I didn't do in a while. I went to a book café. I took my bike out off the garage and went to it. I parked my bike and went inside. Three years ago, I was here so often. It was my favorite place.

I went to a shelf to see if my favorite book is still there, and I found it. I took it, chose a table at the window and sat down.

I opened the book. It's called Cinderella is dead. "Hey, what can I get you?" A young, handsome waiter said. "Umm I take a Latte Macchiato please," I ordered. "Sure. Are you over 16?" He asked as I wanted to open the book again.

"Yeah, I'm 18 why?" I told him confused. "I have to make some ad for our free job. As a waitress." He explained. "You have a free job as a waitress? I don't think that suits me," I said and opened my bag.
"Here you go," I said and gave him the money. "Thanks! I'll go grab your latte macchiato!" He said smiled and went to the counter.

I spent about two and a half hours in the café. But it was time to go or I'll be late for lunch. I payed, went outside, grabbed my bike and rode home.

After lunch I had the perfect idea. I rode my bike to Starcourt because I wanted to visit Robin. I parked my bike and went inside to Scoops Ahoy. Nobody was behind the counter, so I rang the bell. A window opened and behind it wasn't Robin. It was "STEVE! You got the job?!" I screamed happily. "I got the job!" He said laughing.

I ordered a vanilla milkshake and went in the room behind the window. I hope it was okay that Steve let me stay here. I drank my milkshake and talked with Robin as Steve went behind the counter. A half hour later he went inside the back room with someone behind him. It was Dustin.

Wills POV about 5 hours before

"Do you want to go with us?" I asked Rose. "No thanks, I'm not into that genre. But thanks for asking me," she thanked me.
Mike, Lucas and I went into the garage took our bikes and rode to Starcourt.

Max was already waiting for us. Together, we went to Scoops Ahoy. "Hey Steve! We heard you got the job. Could you let us threw that door? We want to go to Day of the death." Mike explained him. "Fine, go!" He said and opened the door for us. We went through and sneaked into the cinema. We chose free seats and I took the snacks out of my bag.

We were right in time for the beginning. The movie started. Suddenly all lights went off. Everything was dark. What I didn't knew was that the whole town was hit by the blackout. Then, I felt him. Every single hair on my neck stood up and goose bumps spread all over my body. I felt him in every fibre of my body.

And then the lights went on and the movie continued.

Roses POV

I was about to say hi to Dustin as the lights went off. Everything was dark. And a few minutes later the lights went on again.
"Okay, that was crazy," Robin said.
I looked at my watch and I realized that I had to leave because I wanted to go to the pool. I accepted a job as a pool attendant a few days ago and today was my first day.

I went to my bike and rode to the pool. A few minutes later I took my bag and went inside. "Hi," I said. " I'm Rose Evans. Today's my first day as a pool attendant here."
"Yeah, right. Aren't you the girl in this one video on Youtube? Like this in a park in New York?" A boy behind the counter asked. Oh my god. Someone remembers this video?
"So um, that's Heather she just finished her shift and now she will show you around. Your shift starts after Billy's. Alright?" He told me.

I nod.

A girl walked over to me. She was about my age and had some comfy clothes on. She has long brown hair and a chewing gum in her mouth.

"Hey, I'm Heather," she told me and smiled. "I'm Rose," I said and smiled too. She showed me everything and gave me my bathing suit. I went into the fitting room and changed my clothes. The bathing suit fitted perfect and so I went out. Heather looked at me, nod and showed me my closet.

Finally we went outside.

Many people were in the pool and the sun burned on my skin.
"So this is the pool. Oh and do you see the high chair with the boy? This is,"
"Billy Hargrove!?" I finished her sentence.
