You always stood by Caius, just as a mere member of the guard, nothing more than a vampire, a lonely one at that, even surrounded by 32 others. No one seemed to notice you, a gift less member of the guard. Meal time came around, you didn't seem to partake "(Y/N), come on, eat" Alec said "I'm not thirsty" you said, this caused the three kings to turn to you "Is everything okay?" Aro asked "May I go rest?" you asked "Yes, you may" Caius said.

The hours that you were gone, noises were coming from a room in the castle. When a very loud scream was heard, Caius hurried to the room. As soon as the door opened a piece of glassware came flying at him, "Get out!!" you growled "Someones touchy touchy" Caius said "I will not hesitate to kill you!!" you yelled, you went to lunge at him, but you stopped finally noticing who you were yelling at "Sorry, master" you said "it's quite alright, would you like me to go?" He said "No, I'm clearly out of control" you replied sinking down the wall. Caius sat beside you, you laid your head on his chest, he gently combed his fingers through your hair "Why are you so angry, my pet?" He asked "I'm useless" you replied "No you're not" he said "I have no gift, no one notices me, I'm lonely in a giant castle with 32 vampires" you growled "You know there's a reason I have you beside me everyday and everywhere I go" he said "because I'm first for the slaughtering" you replied "don't be stupid. You're the first for protecting, you are my mate, I can't live without you. I need you there so I know you're okay" he said "what about your wife?" You asked "She's no longer here, she was banished after the first attempt she made to attack you" he said.

"Caius, my stomach hurts" you said, he looked in your eyes "it's not thirst. Did you eat human food?" He asked, you nodded "oh darling, you know that's makes you very sick. Why?" He asked "I missed it, I missed being able to stuff myself at Christmas and eat loads of chocolate and sweets" you said "I have to be at the trials and so do you, but clearly you're not well enough, physically and mentally. Would you mind sitting with me and I'll have Jane fetch a bucket for you" he said "needs must I suppose. It was stupid I know. I now feel so ill" you cried "I know, don't cry. I'll see what I can do, maybe make meal times a bit more human for you, like jelly blood" he said "you can do that?" You asked "yes" Caius replied.

Caius took you to the throne room "Jane, got get a bucket from the cupboard" he ordered "yes master" she replied. "Caius, is she okay?" Marcus asked "she missed human food, so she ate some, now she's got a stomach ache" he replied.

Jane hadn't come back yet, "Caius...I can't...keep it down. I'm gonna throw up" you said, he sat on his throne "I won't be long" he said.

Caius went to the desk "what can I do, master?" Heidi asked "you don't happen to have a bin behind there" he asked "I do, is someone sick?" She asked "(Y/N), Jane hasn't come back yet with the bucket" he said "here, I'll go find her" Heidi said as he handed him the bin. He went back to the throne room, Aro was rubbing your back "the poor dear, she just coughed and threw up on herself" he said Caius gently set the bin on your lap as you continued to be sick, he sat on the arm of the chair, he combed your hair back "it's okay, I know it hurts, dove." He soothed. When it all stopped, you fell unconscious, Caius caught your head, Jane came back "Clean up in here, you're too late" he snarled at her.

Caius picked you up and carried you to his room, he changed your dress and laid you in bed. He stayed and kept an eye on you, when you arose from your coma like unconsciousness, your throat burned "you're awake, good." He said, he sat you up against the wall, "here's some blood, only the finest of humans" he said "Thank you for everything, I must get back for duty" you asked "no, you need to rest, your strength isn't back yet." Caius said.
