It was finally time to go on a vacation, something she didn't do since last summer, when Steve and her went to Hawaii for a couple of weeks to celebrate his birthday - as he was a Cancer - and hers - a Leo.

It seemed so long ago...

Charlie showed up on her front door wearing black yoga pants and sweater with a kaki coat and matching boots. But James didn't seem to have received the dress code for their 10 hour trip: COMFY.

He was wearing a black suit, topped with a dark grey coat. It was freezing outside, but he alone could warm the atmosphere that immediately felt like suffocating summer heat.

"Are you always wearing a suit?" Charlie looked at him from head to toe, skipping a certain area in between. She wasn't sure she could look at his crotch without remembering how good it had felt to have him between her legs. "It's glued to your skin or something?"

"I know the effect that my suits have on you. But you like what's hiding underneath even more, doll. Don't act like you don't."

"Careful or your ego won't fit in the jet," she said as she walked past him to get in the car that was parked on the street.

"You shouldn't worry about my ego."

"What should I worry about then?" she teased.

"God," James threw his head back, already sighing from exasperation. "Do you ever stop talking?"

"It's funny you ask," Charlie exclaimed as she did a 180° to face him, struggling to hide the wicked grin that was making an appearance at a corner of her lips. She pretended to think, her pointer finger tapping her chin, "because everyone said that I was very chatty when I was kid, specially my mother. But things haven't really changed anyway -"

"Charlie?"

"Even if it didn't make any sense. My parents listened to me at first but after a while their heads were about to explode, you know, because I talked way too much and I had that high-pitched voice -"

"Charlie."

Oh man, how she liked when he called her by her first name...

"Mhm?"

"That was a rhetorical question. I wasn't expecting an actual answer," James said with a sigh as he pinched the bridge of his nose with two fingers. It was the longest conversation - if one could call that a genuine conversation - they had in five days. "Anyway, just stop blabbering and get in the damn car."

Wow, someone is really in a shitty mood today.

Who wouldn't jump at the occasion to mess with him even more?
