"What the hell?? He knows I hate Lupin and still places me with him?!" Aurora yelled for the almost fifth time that day. Almost every professor in Hogwarts knew that Remus Lupin and Aurora Martin didn't get along.

The first four had happened when Professor Slughorn left the classroom, when Aurora and Lilly left the classroom, when they were in the common room with Mary, and when they were headed to the Great Hall.

"For God's sake, give it a rest, Rory. I also got placed with James. So trust me when I say this, I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL!" exclaimed Lilly as they both sat down to eat.

"Do you think maybe we can talk Professor Slughorn out of this?" questioned Aurora hopefully.

"I don't think so, Rory. He seemed quite determined." replied the redhead with disappointment in her voice.

"Why don't you two just try to get along with the boys?" Mary asked while sitting in front of the girls.

"Oh, come on! Getting along with Remus Lupin? All he does is use sarcasm every time we communicate like it is some kind of a way to say "Hey! How was your day?". It is bloody annoying."

"At least he doesn't ask you out every time he gets the chance." complained Lilly before adding "Plus, Remus only treats you like that because you treat him like he is your arch nemesis or something."

"He is, actually," Aurora said as she took a bite from her sausage.

"You know what? Maybe this seating arrangement will help you understand that he is not a bad person," Lilly thought out loud hopefully.

Aurora decided not to argue anymore, since she did not want to ruin her day more by thinking about Remus.

On the other side of the table, however, all the Marauders could hear about was James's happily ranting.

"I LOVE SLUGHORN! Also, I think he believes we would make a cute couple with my Lilly Flower. That's why he decided that we should sit together."

"Or maybe, he was tired of us interrupting the lesson every time we had the chance," Remus said trying to correct the Potter.

"Shut up, Moony. You're just saying this because you are upset you got seated with Martin instead of with any of us." James refused to hear Remus.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night, Prongs." shrugged the boy.

James was not wrong in a way. Remus did not want to sit with her throughout the whole school year. Her attitude was tiring for him. Moreover, Aurora's know-it-all behavior during classes or even in the common room irritated him more than words could describe. However, Remus was aware that he had no choice but sit and attend the classes with her. So, there was no point in complaining.

"Did you tell Remus about your planned prank, Padfoot?" asked Peter.

Only then Sirius stopped eating his sandwich and started paying attention to the boys.

"Whot?" he asked his mouth full.

"What prank?" Remus wondered.

"Aaaah, that prank..." remembered Sirius. As he put the sandwich back on his plate, Remus gave his full attention to the boy.

"So, Moony, me and James were storming some ideas during the Potions-"

"Trust me, Sirius. The only thing that the class was able to hear was your stormed ideas" Remus interrupted with a mocking tone in his voice.

"Yes, yes, anyways. As I was saying, James and I decided that our next victim would be Lucius Malfoy!" Sirius stated with both excitement and pride.

"And, why is that?" asked the brown-haired boy with one eyebrow raised.
