The next morning Remus was feeling rather stupid and embarrassed. The way he lashed out at Aurora and stormed out of the class was a bit dramatic for the boy. Thus, there he was sitting in the library between shelves full of books, trying to focus on his essay. Even though he was still exhausted from the full moon, the maiming anger and anxiety had left his body, letting him think more clearly.

The boy ran his fingers through his hair before turning to gaze at the view from the window. The weather was clear, which made him think how convenient it was for James's quidditch practice. Remus would've joined Sirius and Peter to watch the practice, but he felt he would be more at peace in the library.

The sound of approaching swift and steady steps hauled the boy's brown orbs from the window. When Aurora's brunette waves greeted Remus's eyes, he dropped his head to the desk and silently huffed.

Did you say peace, Remus?

The iciness in her emerald eyes was enough for the boy to understand her repugnance. He slowly averted his eyes from the girl to the ink on his paper. He didn't want to quarrel with her again, it would not help his current situation at all. Maybe it would be for the best if he waited for the girl's leave. Unfortunately, with Lilly's assertions about "being friends with Aurora" roaming in his mind, Remus was having a hard time convincing himself not to engage her in a conversation.

Aurora was ignoring the boy's presence. She only wished to find the book she needed and then leave Remus's side as soon as possible. The girl hadn't forgotten Remus's backlash and she was still determined to dig the matter up. Her eyes were expeditiously scanning the books on the shelf, desperately hoping to stumble upon "Renata" by Balthazar Birch Sykes.

"Phoenix's heart" by Adriel Jane Scamander.

"Not this one," she mumbled as her eyes read the titles and authors.

"Nights of the Raven" by Ares Blaze Calderon.

The utterings from her lips continued in harmony with her point finger that caressed every book's hard covers.

"Revival" by Ava Evelyn Macmillan.

Her mouth hummed a verbal indication of disapproval before furrowing her eyebrows out of intense focus.

"Renata" by Balthazar Birch Sykes.

"Found you," Aurora excitedly dragged the book out off the shelf. She had been longing to read it for a long time. Finally, now she had an opportunity and she was eager to make it count. Her lips curled into a delicate beam and she slowly turned her back to leave the shelf.

"Martin."

Her name from Remus's mouth made her steps stop in their places. She leisurely faced him and looked him in the eyes without showing any emotions.

"I shouldn't have lashed out yesterday."

"Why did you, then?" Aurora raised an eyebrow, meanwhile softly patting on the book in her hand.

"You irritated me." the boy shrugged.

"You irritate me every day."

"And now I'm apologizing," Remus said without breaking eye contact with Aurora.

"I suppose I could forgive you," the girl sneered, looking at the boy's essay paper.

"Now or in another six years?"

"I never said I forgave you for what you did six years ago," Aurora said, her eyes still fixed on the parchment. "You never apologized for it, did you?"
