Another month has passed. This time, there were more private tea moments between Lupin and Y/N, both enjoying their company in their free hours. In the freedom Y/N had, where Oliver and Ada went on a small date, Y/N visited Remus. They became friends due to these moments and Y/N started to realize how she was digging herself deeper and deeper.

Y/N had multiple letters from her Aunt, which she replied on instantly. But the latest letters, made the girl want to conjure a hole in the ground, and jump in it. She was cautious, of everything she said and did in the presence of Lupin. Even delaying Hermione her request of teaching her all about the 9 Devines and the 17 Daedra.

At this exact moment, Y/N was having breakfast with Ada, and while her friend was happily chatting about her previous night, Y/N couldn't help but feel guilty about delaying her younger friends request due to someone else's sparked interest.

"That is just unfair, how could Snape get Hermione her grades so low? She did a wonderful job on her assignment. I could know, professor, I helped her!" Y/N protested at seeing the grated papers on his desk. "You did what?" Remus had clear amusement on his face, which Y/N didn't notice. She was far too busy with defending herself.

"I didn't exactly help her, I just pushed her in the right direction, that is all. I swear I-" The panicked girl was stopped mid sentence when she heard her professor laugh softly. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt your moment of self defense there." Y/N stood up, since she was sitting across of him at his desk, and took the papers to smack him on the arm.

"auwch-" He acted hurt, rubbing his arm, but the mischief in his eyes and the smirk that was playing on his lips made Y/N mumble. "You deserved that."

"I'm sorry what? I couldn't hear you." Y/N shot him a look, but couldn't contain her smile as she looked in his eyes. "I said that you deserved that, you are an absolute bully. Maybe I should inform Dumbledore about it?" He tilted his head, it was now his time to look annoyed at the girl.

"You wouldn't dare." The teasing went on and on, sometimes Y/N did actually get annoyed by him, but those times were limited. They could laugh together, that was the most important thing. "You think? I am far more dangerous than you would expect." Her words were dripping with confidence, knowing that what she said was true as she spoke.

"Uhu, I have already experienced the rage of the powerful witch." He mocked her, making Y/N blush slightly. She crossed her arms, refusing to talk. "Am I getting the silent treatment right now? Now that is cruel." He knew that what he was doing, was everything expect friendly. He was trying to bond with her at first for a friendship, but he was starting to gain feelings for the bright witch.

"You know what? I will shut my mouth, if you can tell me more about what Hermione wrote? Maybe I will change her grades, and yours as well." He winked, leaning forward on his desk, awaiting to see her break the attitude.

"You are so lucky that I like you." She muttered out, making Remus slightly blush as well. But it made him sad when he thought about it. He was so sure, that she didn't like him in the way he did. His depressing thoughts left instantly when he felt her hand touch his, looking down confused, he saw that Y/N had his hand in hers. "Everything alright, professor? You got a bit down, did I say something wrong?"

The concern in her voice made his heart melt, he didn't feel like he was worthy of her, but he let it slide, for now. "Of course, I just remembered something, but I can take care of it later." He reassured her, not letting go of her hand. "Alright, so, what do you want to know of our lord Hircine?" Y/N smiled.
