Shut up!

I opened my eyes and tried getting up but fell on the floor.

Shawn was still asleep. It's only 8 in the morning anyways.

I went upstairs and walked into Shawn and Ally's room. She sat up on her crib crying.

"So you're the one making all the noise." I said picking her up.

"I'm guessing you're hungry." I patted her back. "Lets go get some food."

I walked back down with Ally in my arms, jumping as she giggled.

"Wanna wake up your daddy?" I asked as I put her on his stomach. She crawled on his chest as he began to open his eyes looking down. He smiled and sat up holding her.

"Morning, princess." He kissed her head.

"You two stay here I'll get something to eat." I walked to the kitchen to get some milk and a muffin.

I went back to the living room to see Shawn bouncing Ally on his lap.

"Milk for the lady and a muffin for that thing."

"Oh thanks, Bree." Shawn said sarcastically.

"I'm off today, so what do y'all wanna do?" I asked.

"Why don't we go to the beach?" Shawn suggested.

Ally clapped her hands excitedly.

"Well, someone's excited." I chuckled.

After I changed into my bikini and put a muscle tee and shorts over them, I packed Ally and I's beach bag. I got her ready. I decided to wear matching outfits. She looked freaking adorable in her little muscle tee and her little vans.

We drove there and unfortunately the water was too cold for Ally so we decided to just stroll around.

We were walking on the sand when an elderly couple came up to us.

"Look at this cutie!" The lady exclaimed.

"Ally, say hi!" Shawn poked her belly.

Ally waved her little hands.

"Oh how wonderful you must be great parents!" She said smiling.

"Oh no, that's his child." I said. "Im just a friend."

The lady walked closer and whispered, "He's a keeper if he's this good with kids."

"I uh-"

"You'll thank me later." She said before she walked away with her husband.

"That lovely couple so happens to live in the same building!" Shawn said. "Maybe they can babysit, Ally some time."

"Yeah.. Maybe..."

"Is there something wrong?" He asked.

"No, I just need to sit." I lied. I couldn't stop thinking about what the lady said.

Does she think Shawn and I are a couple? He's like a brother to me! And siblings don't date each other that's just weird!

"I'm gonna get some ice cream, mind watching Ally?" Shawn said placing her on my lap.

After he left I turned to look at Ally.

"Your daddy and I are just best friends okay? We're not together." I said.

"Why am I talking to a baby? You can't even understand me."

"Okay, now I'm just going crazy." I said. "It's not even that big of a deal."

"Who are you taking to?" Shawn asked.

"Ally."

"Right." He nods awkwardly. "Anyways, what flavour do you want?"

"Cookie dough." I said handing him $5.

He gives it back, "Its on me."

"Nice try, I'm paying."

"You've done enough, let me pay you back."

"Fair enough." I said in defeat.

He chuckled and walked away.

"See? Just friends."

"No." I swear I heard a baby say it. Im pretty sure it was Ally.

"Was that you?" I asked.

"No."

I jumped up and ran to the ice cream truck where Shawn was.

"Your child said a word!" I yelled causing the whole beach to stare at me.

"What'd she say?!" He asked excitedly.

"Ally say it again." I looked at Ally.

She shook her head sticking her tongue out.

"You said it two times. Don't fail me now!" I pouted. "Oh come on, I didn't run just for this, I just did exercise do you know how tragic this is?"

"Dude, what did she say?" Shawn asked.

"She said, 'No' isn't that amazing?!" I said excitedly.

"Good job, princess! Daddy's so proud of you!" He tossed her in the air.

The line up for the ice cream awed.

"Okay, now go get me ice cream as a reward."

"What? You weren't the one learning her first word." Shawn joked.

"Yeah, but I ran all the way here to tell you and I never run."

"True." He turned to the ice cream man. "Three scoops of cookie dough, fudge and cookies and cream in a waffle come with sprinkles please."

He handed me the ice cream and I happily ate it. Ally leaned in to lick some.

"Thank you! I love you!" I kissed Shawn on the cheek.

"Ew! Why was that sticky?!" He wiped it off. "You're disgusting!"

Ally and I laughed eating our ice cream.

"She's like a little you." Shawn stated. "Always hungry."

I turned to Ally, "You hear that? You're gonna grow up to be successful as me."

"Breeeeee!" She squealed pointing to me.

"Did you hear that?!" I screamed.

"Okay now say daddy." Shawn said.

Ally stared at him grabbing his nose, "Bree."

"Ayee!" I kissed her chocolate coated cheek.

"Say, 'dah-dee"

"Bree!"

"I win!" I exclaimed.

"Not fair, I helped birth her." Shawn crossed his arms in the passenger seat.
